Today we’re diving into commonplace books.
In short this is a book (physical or digital) that houses the most interesting ideas, thoughts, and quotes you collect. I saw it once described as an intellectual scrapbook.
There are already a lot of videos out there on commonplace books. But i thought I’d join the conversation and hopefully provide a perspective that could help ya out.

Your comment about lego blocks in the future made me think that when you buy a lego kit you can make one model with it. But as you add more lego kits to your collection, you have so many pieces that you can create more intricate stuff! From your analogy, as you add knowledge to your PKM, each piece grows in value because you can link it to so many new (and old) ideas!

One book will guide you to another one, to another one and so on. You read one book to find the next one. Book = article = post = blog = magazine etc

That's so true. Most of the next books I read are because they were mentioned in the current book I'm reading.

Austin Kleon calls those centrifugal books, books that propel you to several new books. That's why I always read the bibliography at the back of non-fiction books!
