just got my first bmx bike today. Idk if flatland is popular or not, but it's really the reason I took an interest in bmx. Thank you for making videos like this! Starting from square one is discouraging, but one day I'll have some of your style!

There have been a few chaps with similar stories. This is so great to hear. Take it easy and, as RL Osborn says, shin guards save lives. Cheers 🤙

Haha, thanks😃 I had you in mind when I made it after seeing you ride! Also, I was just 2 days ago talking to the camera about you guys and snow! We don't get much down here which means we can ride pretty much all year except for when it rains. Sometimes the heat gets pretty intense. I guess you are super good at ice skating and snowboarding compared to us😃

Chief, in ur opinion how far apart is a manual from a peg wheelie? Im in the midst of learning manual now, hoping that'll fast track me to the other one wheelers. Keep the inspiration coming, thanks!
@bmxbanditdude
@bmxbanditdude 3 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy! Are your peg wheelie's solid, that is, can control the direction at a whim? You should not be too far away 10 mins a day and you should show good progress in a week. Make sure your knees are bent and you are waaaaaaay over the back wheel with your bottom. Ok?? Lean waaaaaaay back with your bottom low over the back tyre. It should be barely any effort lifting the front wheel. If the front wheel starts coming down, you go lower with your bottom. If the front wheel starts coming up, you stand up taller. Your arms should be straight and your shoulders relaxed rather than hunched. The bike will almost balance itself. Before and after that 10 mins, you should also be trying double foot peg manuals. This will get you using your hips to balance because you can't use anything else. This will help with manuals 🤙

Check out Strictly BMX either online or in person here: goo.gl/maps/chD5d5Tp1C2V1Xrh6 Look for the Colony Apprentice. It is a brilliant beginner BMX 😃 Tell Rusty that I sent you his way and he will look after you and be able to answer all your questions 😃 And yep, it will be sweet for everything. Let me know how you get on.

@@joniwibowo8711 It is primarily set up for flatland. Steeper head tube angle and shorter frame for easier manipulation. Still can be used for everything though. Cheers
