In-game attitude often reflects our attitude outside of the game. Not managing our emotions during a game can literally tighten our muscles, making it harder to aim properly. Anxiety and fear will limit your brains capacity for good decision making and lead to rash decisions. Mastering mentality is the absolute fundamental and it builds a solid ground on which we can grow as a player and as a person.
@shoemakerjonesАй бұрын
well said, this is so important. i wish more people knew how to manage their focus and emotions while playing.
@jopzecs2Ай бұрын
Exactly. I've been trying to learn not to tilt to random team members since I almost always soloQ, and there's alot of hateful people on who brings teammates down. If you miss a shot, get called noob etc etc you know. It has increased my winrate already.

This video brilliantly highlights the seamless transition from fragging to utility usage, showcasing not only good in-game details but also emphasizing how critical the mindset is in competitive play. The player’s ability to stay composed under pressure and use utility effectively demonstrates the importance of adaptability and strategic thinking. The pacing and clarity of the video make it engaging and informative, offering valuable insights for players striving to elevate their gameplay. Good job my man

Not gonna lie I’ve been getting to the point where I can go blow for blow in head to heads with level 9-10s in comp matches, like really leveled up my mechanics and gamesense, but I’m too scared to hit the FACEIT ladder 😭

ladder anxiety is really a thing. I had it at some points during my career and I know couple of other pro players mentioned it, too.

Nothing to worry about. I don't mean this to sound harsh but no one cares how good or bad you are outside of your teammates for those 30 minutes and after that they aren't thinking about you
@priestinc11Ай бұрын
The same goes for real life as well. Outside of a few people close to you no one thinks about you for a second so you can literally do whatever you want that doesn't harm others

@@suPppCS you're right, faceit matches just seem like they half the time end up going into OT and stressing me the fuck out lol, just gotta treat it like regular pugging.

Evaluating the situation by rough percentages is something that actually helped me. I was imagining it like the chess evaluation bar that engines use. Also, it surprised me how many pros will spend hours in private servers by themselves just jumping around and trying random stuff. I found this true in other games as well

I already offer variety of coaching sessions to players of literally any level. I have coached complete beginners but also semi-pro players who reached out to me. All important links can be found in the description or on my ko-fi.com/STYKO site (it's like patreon) where you can book a session with me. Almost 100 clients in past 12 months and all of them were happy with my service, it seems, as many of them returned back for another session :)

I think 1 imore mportant thing is to have fun. Most of us are just players playing the game for the joy of it, having fun and actually trying enjoying the process of the game usually help to ease up the pressure of winning a lil bit.

I have been in a slump for a while now and I have been changing resolutions constantly. In the end of the day I returned to my original res before the slump and I simply stopped giving a shit. I was actually amazed that I was top fragger for several games plus I often times won 1v2 duels/entries. Mechanics are important but if you burn out yourself with your ambition to improve, you will be slumping and overthinking constantly. Sometimes you just need to let go and the skills will show themselves.

I never know what is correct pronounciation. Same with word “data”
@whoaitstigerАй бұрын
@@STYKO English is an outrageously difficult language for pronunciation, and believe me your pronunciation is generally very good. It has so many words that simply don't make sense. Demon being "deemon" and demo being "deh-mo" is just one of countless examples. Also for that one it is "dah-tah" in England and Australia where I am from, and "day-tah" in the USA so either is fine.

Okay, but what happens when your gameplay is affected by an external factor? The highest rank i reached in faceit was level 7 solo queueing, but then i just realized that my hardware was not at the proper level anymore, i play at the lowest of lowest graphics, trying to squeeze every frame with any cheap trick known to man and it's still not enough, i cannot react properly, frames drop from 140 to 90 in heavy load scenarios and when i see an enemy, it always messes up my aim even though i practice it a lot, and due to the crappy graphics i cannot see further than 16 meters because from there, everything looks pixelated, i have a lot of lag spikes even though i have good internet, and the list goes on. I can accept when i mess up by myself but when it's because of something you can't control or change, it becomes really frustrating at the long term, and it's sad, because i really like how Counter-Strike is played, but it's just unfair how someone can be so held back by things they can't control at all, and before someone comments "jUsT bUy nEW Pc BrO, Ez", well no shit sherlock, you just discovered america, i cannot afford it, i congratulate you to be able to afford such nice things to yourself without needing to worry about basic need things, you should feel grateful for that.
