Thanks a million. I am going to try and add a piece of foil over the plant sticker and see how well it stops or controls the algae. I am not experiencing algae around the grow deck just yet. But I am glad you shared your method for controlling algae there too. BTW, I also think too much water in the bowl contrib

I’m having mineral deposit issues with my AHopeGarden. I use Maxigro in it as a fertilizer. Any suggestions to remove the hard white film from the tank?

On Aero Garden website, it says that is nothing more than a Calcium buildup due to the Nutrition... Only when you change the water & sanitize you can clean it off... or do like I do, & use prepped Alcohol Pads & wipe it down from time to time.

Soaking in warm/hot water for a couple of hours should soften the residue, and we should be able to scrub it off.

i think you can use acid to clean this. for example vinegar or citric acid.

Use distilled water only if you don't want mineral deposit from tap water and the fertilizer.
