Even crossing the road is an adventure in Pakistan 😂😂I was in Pakistan a few years ago for three months. Got used to crossing the dangerous roads after a while . Nice to know the people are as friendly as they were back then. Almost everyone is accomadating and helpful!

Hey mac, glad you're enjoying the breakfast. The puri is similar to a paratha, but it is deep fried which makes it puff up. Parathas are usually pan fried in clarified butter and have more of a flaky texture. The chickpeas and potato curry are cooked in a pickled sauce so have a tangy and spicy taste, and the yellow dish is called halwa. It's a semolina dish and has hundreds of ways to make it.

Watching your breakfast experience here in London. The breakfast you had is called Halwa Puri. Halwa is semolina which you rated no 3. And the bread you had that you called paratha is actually called puri. The 2 Curries and yogurt go as a compliment with this treditional breakfast. It reminded me of my last visit about 3 years ago and I sat on that exact location while having my dinner at Bundo Khan. Enjoy

I am from Bangladesh, breakfast in Bangladesh is very similar except instead of chana we make matar, and then our puris are much smaller. Instead of plain alu tarkari we would do a alu and kaliji tarkari. I am curious, don't you guy eat fried egg or egg omelette? There are many other types of breakfast we eat, such a paya and tandoori roti and then paratha and chicken soup. Some sort of protein, be it meat or egg is a must for us.

This bread in breakfast is called poori,chickpeas and halwa(semolina) so this is a traditional sweet Pakistani breakfast and tell you Mac this may not be the best breakfast in town Lahore has lot of nice food places about 200 or more where you can get similar and nice tasting breakfast and food. Although Gulberg and Liberty is a posh area and this is a nice restaurant. Love it as you did it all alone this one and still your energy was refreshing to see. Loving it from London. Keep it up Mac

That yellow bread you had later was sheermaal. Made from flour, fried in clarified butter and dipped in milk and sugar syrup with fragrance and nuts and dry fruits. That's like a dessert item or what people call comfort food in the West. Its like what Tiramisu is to the West, although textures are different. Sometimes they serve it with clotted thick cream

@@worldnomac You should visit "Andaaz" restaurant near badshahi mosque. Their food and service is terrific. Close to "andaaz" is "haveli" restaurant, it has great interior but the food is so so. Rooftop of both these restaurants is spectacular. Another one close to these two is "cuckoo's cafe", it's kinda artsy and the paintings there pretty cool as it is owned by a renowned artist.

It’s also called separate tea. Basically tea bag tea. Your dish is called hulwa puri. The prata is made from ghee and cooked in the oven or griddle. The puri is fried and is made of plain flour. So u had a hulwa puri breakfast

Mac your breakfast which is called nashta in urdu actualy was comprises of 1-Puri- the fried bread made of all purpose flour. 2- potato curry 3- chickpeas curry 4- yelow sweet desert made of samolina , sugar and butter 5- yogurt 6- the desert deep fried bread that was served you in last actualy is called maalpura and this is made with flour and sugar.

Crossing road is always really difficult in pakistan. Few tips though. Try to pass the road on the signals as soon as the traffic stops( not everyone stops though). 2. Even if the road is one way look both way before you cross. There could be bikes/cars coming the wrong way. 3.take a bike ride or rickshaw where crossing or traffic is difficult to move through. It woupd literally cost dimes but save a lot of stress.(i did that in the inner city) The adventure you will have here in Pakistan is complety unmatchable .
