As a british born i can say that these types of assaults are very very common in bazars more populated places in Lahore. I have personally experienced this on many occasions in Lahore. Unfortunately theres not much you can do in these situations. Take your own precautions, make sure your wife is walking infront of you at all times, as Lahore is not too safe. Hi jack just wanted to let you know this is very common in Pakistan bazaar I as a pakistani went to Pakistan age 16 first time and used to come home fuming and my aunt always used to say you can’t stop and swear at them cause then it’s embarrassing for me so I trained myself you always know that look and the constant pushing and shoving of not all but you can say one or two. I used to have my aunts guard me because I looked like a foreigner with brown hair you used to get a lot of attention but the thing I rate about pakistani women is they are very strong and the men are scared of them when they shout and scream they run away.when I went back to Pakistan when I was 22 got married and my husband and I were on a motorcycle me in the back and some pinched my bum I turned around and he quickly walked off I didn’t tell my husband cus he always carried a firearm when we were out. I did tell him when we got home and he hit the roof and his sister told me it had happened to her on the way to college and she told my husband and he found the person and beat him up badly. You see one thing about Pakistani men when it comes to their sisters and wives being mistreated like that they will make sure they beat the hell out of these perverts and the police won’t say anything.Anyway it’s been 23 years I haven’t been back and now seeing what you’re girlfriend went through somethings never change still don’t change but overall you get bad apples all society and we can’t blame everyone for the actions of one. Pakistan is a beautiful country and I hope I will go and visit it soon so don’t get discouraged enjoy your self

Tbh, stuff like this happens in the UK too... Too many comments making out that this is some sort of an exclusive Pakistani problem. It's a nation of 280 million people. I am surprised there aren't more nutters considering how many we have over here in the UK. Here in London, women in my own family have faced similar situations at the hands of EDL drunkards, NHS doctors, binmen and cops, all ethnically white predators from all walks of life. But I wouldn't use it as a bench mark for everyone in what is a very cosmopolitan existence. If a man ever encounters any sort of dishonour, one can either go down two legal roads... Either go straight to the police, embassy wherever... See it through to the end, so that all the truth comes out and you have bettered society for everyone... Or just put the incident completely behind you, water of a ducks back and all that, move on instantly and not even give it second thought. It's always obvious that in the case of groping the answer is going to be usually no, so they just expect you to go on with your day. In Pakistan, however, you can already see from the comments that many are quite ready to kill the individual involved without even having heard his side of the story, Such is the sense of shame. Your first port of call is to take this up with the Pakistani Embassy. I am sure they will resolve this for you.
