If I was ever going to explore an abandoned building, I would make sure I would have at least 3 people with me. Great job on the stories! 😊

The reason why I like listening to stories about abandoned places, is that I have this secret desire to check out and explore some, but definitely wouldn't do it in real life😁

I have to admit, urban exploration does sound fun, especially with friends… of course, there are various “risks” involved… especially should one go alone.

This is a common occurrence. They couldn't easily sell the place because it was already in bad condition. They never tried to help the grandparents fix up the place years earlier. They inherited it. Don't want it. Left it in hopes that it would just go away. It's actually rather terrible.

The last story about the cabin in the woods reminds me of another story where the people found an underground basement/tunnel in this abandoned cabin in the woods. Possibly where that man was going!! Sick twisted people out there you never know what sinister thing he could he up to! I would report that to the police even though they probably won't do anything. It might save a future camper's life if he's kidnapping people from their camp site!

Story 2: Why would you fellas SPLIT UP??? I like to think that it’s a home alone story from the homeless man’s perspective! “I had been living here for almost five years and no had ever visited. Suddenly I woke up thinking that I heard something. I figured I was dreaming and went to use the bathroom. Halfway there I ran into three men! We all froze, none of us expecting to see each other. Before I could react, the three men started running away! They must’ve been startled. If they hadn’t been startled away, I don’t know if I would have ever left that house alive.”

Abandoned does not mean unoccupied. Homeless bums, drug addicts and meth heads, crazies, perverts, serial killers, etc. Any one or more of them may be living there. Never go exploring alone. Go with a buddy or two. Tell someone responsible where you're going and when youre expected to return so they can call for help. 1. Pack a firearm. In fact, everyone in your grouo should have their own firearm. Have extra ammo. Learn to clear a room with your buddies using the pie slicing method. Learn how to move to cover your six so you dont get ambushed or surprised turning a corner. Pretend its a military search and clearing operation. 2. Have a demolition hammer. A demo hammer has the nor.al face and nail claw, but a demo hammer will usually have a large U notch to bend boards or 2x4s. It may also have a dull edge blade to chop dry wall. And pwrhaps a spiked, sharp end on the handle to chip and tear. Carry a pry bar. Yiur foot may fall trough rotted floors. Kr a door may close behind yiu into a warped frame or a rusty self locking latch. You will need a demo hammer and pry bar to help break out the door or wall or break the boards trapping your foot. 3. Have 2 or 3 powerful LED flashlights of 5,000-6,000 lumens to turn night into day. 4. Have a large multi tool. Self explanatory. 5. Have a large knife. Self explanatory 6. Coil of rope or coip of paracord.
