I liked that a guy spoke up about his experience with a stalker. All too often, society forgets that men are just as likely to get into a stalking situation, and the men who are victimized by it don't want to speak up either because it's 'weak' or because they feel like nobody will care or believe it.

The third story really makes a case for how wrong it is that society does not take female-on-male stalking seriously.
@wmd405 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's really unfortunate but society barely takes male-on-female stalking seriously, and that's the large portion of stalking cases, and the type of stalking most likely to end up in violence including murder

People don't call you a misogynist for bringing up the problem. They call you a misogynist for exploiting crimes against men to disregard female victims instead of fighting for equality in both protection and prosecution. That is, unfortunately, what happens in a lot of cases when men's rights groups attempt social justice. In order to get society to take male victims of female criminals more seriously, we need to acknowledge that men aren't strong, invincible creatures who couldn't possibly be hurt by weak, incapable women. We need to acknowledge that yes, a woman can get one up on a man, and that a man can be a victim. That's where MRAs fall short, as they don't actually want to dismantle the issues that cause female-on-male crimes to be taken less seriously, they just see something that they perceive as female privilege and latch onto to it, desperately wanting to take it away, because they care a lot more about hurting women than you do about helping male victims of female criminals. They also often happily dismiss male-on-female stalking because women are just hysterical and overreacting, those are just guys looking for love, and those bitches need to be grateful a man took interest in them. So, in their minds, men are at a horrific disadvantage here, because female-on-male stalking is real AND not taken seriously, but male-on-female stalking is all made up because bitches be crazy. Then when someone calls them a misogynist, they get terribly upset and view it as proof that they're right. I really wish I could see your brand of 'bringing attention to the problem', lous, as you've left comments in this section, lamenting the hardships of being an MRA. Here's the thing - there are 2 main reasons why female-on-male stalking cases aren't taken as seriously as they should be. The first is that there are simply significantly more male-on-female cases. There are more male stalkers, so there are more of them that are prosecuted. Which, of course, in no way means that female-on-male cases shouldn't be taken seriously. Being a minority doesn't mean you shouldn't have the same rights or accountabilities. The second reason is that male-on-female stalking cases end in violence a lot more often than female-on-male cases. Sadly, in our world, we believe that it's not serious unless someone gets physically hurt, which happens a lot more often with male stalkers. Male-on-female stalking cases end in abductions, assault, rape, and murder a lot more often than female-on-male cases, which is why the latter are taken less seriously. In order to remedy this situation, we need to take non-violent stalking more seriously, which would both prevent a lot of those rapes and murders, and ensure more accountability for female-on-male stalkers, and better protection for male victims. Unfortunately, MRAs rarely want to look at the cause of the issue, they just see that male-on-female stalking cases are prosecuted more often, point and yell, "women get more, the world revolves around women!" The truth is, you can't make the situation better for male victims without fixing the situation with stalking altogether, which is something MRAs don't actually want, because that would also imply more male stalkers going to jail and more female victims being taken seriously as well. If that's what you want - all stalkers to be punished, and all victims to be taken seriously - then more power to you. But if what you actually want is for male victims to be taken seriously, but the female victims of male stalkers to be disregarded, then don't be surprised if you get called a misogynist, because that's what you are. tl;dr If we want female-on-male stalking to be taken seriously, we need to start taking stalking seriously _before_ it gets violent, and acknowledge that men can be victims of women. And consider the possibility that if you're being a called a misogynist it might actually be because you are one, and you need to reassess your actions if you want to actually help men instead of just finding new ways to hurt women.

Listening to this, I came to the following conclusions: Story #1 - the main character should've just called the guy on the phone and made an excuse as soon as he saw how sketchy the neighborhood was. Story #2 - If you live in the middle of nowhere, don't invite strangers to your house. Even in the UK, owning a gun wouldn't be a bad idea either; it's more difficult than in the US and you can't say "self-defense" as a legal reason to the Firearms Officer, but in the extreme circumstance of this story even a double-barrel shotgun for hunting pheasants would've been a better thing to have than a flimsy bathroom door and a cell phone. Story #3 - Never stick your dick in crazy.

Ghostwolf 2211 That's not true at all. Look up the English Shooting Channel on KZbin, and the host Callum has instructional videos on what is required to apply for your Shotgun license or Firearms Certificate in the UK. Handguns and centerfire semiautomatic rifles are banned under normal license in mainland Britain (Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man are exceptions for handguns), but it is definitely _not_ illegal to own a firearm in the UK.

I do know this is from 5 years ago, but I do wanna say I have listened to your stories before when I was younger, then I moved and completely forgot I listened to thse and I'm so glad I found you again. And i do remember your voice from the animated stories from other content creators, tho I never really played attention to it. I never really liked the animations cause it would ruin my imagination of the story. Any way in just really happy I found your channel (?) (Idk words)

Lol i live in Soddy Daisy, Tn and you actually said it right. This guy used to be my mothers rental property maintenance guy. He was found not long after yoy posted the video. Not going into detail of where he went but he was found safe.

I just want to say thankyou for taking the time to do these videos/story's, I have ptsd and mpd and don't go out often and I really struggle to sleep, I've binge listened to your vids and they have helped me sleep and pass the time and helped me do everyday tasks while listening I find it hard to stay on task or stop overthinking what I'm doing and your vids have helped, :)

The fact the dude actually showed up with the bag and sold it to them and gave them a hug only to come back later is what really gets me. If you plan on killing them, why bring the bag at all?

That last story makes me feel a lot better about how I depressed I got after my first breakup.

If you feel like you might need to break a convo you should set a timer on your phone for 10 mins and if you need to get away say that you need to go (family emergency or somin) and if it’s alright you could say it’s a reminder to pick up some milk or some food. Even if it doesn’t seem it it’s really useful especially for those that are very awkward.

I've started watching your videos only recently, but i gotta say i really love all of them. Plus your voice adds so well to the creepyness of the story. Keep these amazing videos up :)

These stories are so creepy, but your voice is so soothing it kind of balances out.
