I have a story from when I lived in an apartment with my family a few years ago. So basically my parents didn’t have a lot of money so we rented an apartment. The first few nights were nice and the apartment was in shape and very beautiful. Until one night everyone in my family jolted awake at the exact same time. We thought it was weird but we just thought it was a coincidence so we went back to sleep. The next morning was weird. We woke up and the shower and sink was running. We always turned the shower and sink off so we thought it was weird. The next morning half of my clothes were gone. We reported our missing stuff and the manager of the apartment buildings called the police. The police found an old man under my bed in a little compartment and he stole my clothes and left our water running at night. He had been there for over 4 weeks. it was so scary

I have heard many stories of people living in basements, attics, crawl spaces. There was a guy living in NYC. He would stay there with his girlfriend and noticed that the food kept disappearing from the fridge. He asked his girlfriend, who didn't know. They put up a camera which showed a woman going to the fridge--I think she came in through the venting system. I know they were creeped out and it just shows what lengths people will go to in NYC.

PLEASE READ: Okay so here’s a story, I cat sit for a neighbor who lives across the street. She was going away for a few days and asked me to watch her cat, I of course said yes, the cat is so sweet and very well behaved. ( I had cat sitted there before ) the first day I walked in I noticed an unfarmlilar pair of blue sandals which I had never saw before in all the time I had cat sitted for her. I assumed she just got some new shoes and teased myself for thinking anything weird of them. After taking the care of the cat I left making sure the door was locked and walked home. The next day I walked in and was surprised to find the shoes were now in a different place, I was a bit freaked out because I knew no one else was supposed to be coming in the house. And no one else had another key. I just shrugged it off, thinking I was probably hallucinating. The next day they were moved again, but this to time to the opposite side of the rug…at this point I was really freaked out and just wanted to get home. I told my parents and they just said it was probably nothing, but I know what I saw and it still creeps me out to this day. I never ended up telling my neighbor about it either. So this is a rental story I have okay “so basically in 2019 my family rented my house to there old friends but a few months later we found out that the air conditioner is not working so it cost a lot of money to fix it and then the other day we where getting excited to move back in but when my mom and sister saw the house we saw it trashed they painted out dining room and there’s a hook in my moms room and there’s old stuff in my room oh and a hole in my sisters room we where pissed but when we tried to confront them they blocked my parents so we can’t do anything but we are cleaning it right now” and that’s my story

The first story sounds like the parents could have been in on trying to get the babysitter kidnapped because if you got a security gate and all that you should have a security system on your house on top of why would somebody randomly see somebody going somebody else house Wait 14 or 15 minutes for the owners to come out and than break into the house later on that night... Like did he stay in the neighborhood is so much more I want to know I feel like owners of the house was setting her up

this doesnt have anything to do with housesitting but its just a story that shakes me up a little when i think abt it i was about to fall asleep as soon as i heard something fall from downstairs, hearing my dogs footsteps shortly after, i was annoyed to have to leave my bed but i didnt want him trying to eat the cup (hes a puppy so this stuff often happens) i went downstairs and picked the cup back up but couldnt find my dog anywhere, im a very paranoid person by myself and im very skeptical so i was immediately a little freaked out. I then thought that my dad could have been out with him, as i didnt walk him at night. i turned to go back up stairs glancing out the window before, i saw a black figure behind our mailbox, looking confused (shown with body language) i widened my eyes and looked back at the window seeing the figure pacing in my yard at a fast pace, before coming to an abrupt stopping very looking very stiff i went to best a little scared that night.
