I enjoyed your analysis of these books. I've always been aware of the pulp artistry but only recently have I realised the quality of craftsmanship and design that went into these covers. I think I'm going to need to buy a couple of good books on the subject, and the first two look very good. Thanks.

I totally agree about the new pulp cover art. It looks a bit fabricated (is that the right word?) over thought maybe that’s a better word. Looking at the cover art in your book I haven’t seen a cover that even comes close to the old ones. 15:53 Last year I read all the Doctor Death stories for GarbAugust and absolutely loved them (review on my channel). I will definitely binge on old pulps next August (2024) as GarbAugust is all about the reading of pulp stories. In February I read The Living Shadow (the first shadow novella) and enjoyed myself with that as well. (review also up on my channel) Great video.
