I'm a spanish speaker from Argentina. I'm amazed about your perfect english. Your videos are absolutely great to me. Did you know that in Buenos Aires we pronounce the letter "Y" (latin alphabet) just like the letter "ж"? Спасибо большое! С новым годом!!

This one is one of those interesting ones where it sounds funny in English, but in Spanish we do the same thing and it sounds natural. :D Saying a long yes, followed by negation in the answer. I like to think the long yes is an indication of acknowledgement towards the question. You are not answering just yet, you are showing to the speaker that you hear the nuance in their question.
