I know Viking fans would love to pick defense at #11 but I think if the Vikings believe in Michael Penix's knees what makes you think that no one picking before we pick at #23 will draft him? Better to take him at #11 and draft defense at #23.

I am all in on Mccarthy. Played in the most pro style offense, has a great arm, great mobility, can process defense on the fly pretty well. If he can develop his touch a bit he's going to be a star.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reported on April 2 that while the Vikings have made “deep plans to evaluate the top prospects” in this year’s quarterback class, they are prepared for the possibility of sticking with Darnold and drafting a quarterback later in the draft or even waiting until the 2025 draft.

Wally Pip was the starting 1st BM for Yankees...hurt...Gehrig. Belichick was talking to Wes Welker about Edelman Wally Piping him, taking his punt return duties. Welker could have cared less and Belichick said "way to compete." Welker hated Belichick.

Daniels has a similar build to Randall Cunningham so I wouldn't worry to much because he has the frame to on more weight.

Of the 3 I’m very much in the Murphy & penix scenario. Hate both trading up for unelite mccarthy, nor am I enamoured by Murphy. Maye trade up feels slightly better but really not a fan of prioritising a rib high.

Maye is worth betting for our future imo but we'll see what happens but I hope we have a QB by 11.

JJ McCarthy only threw for over 200 yards once against a ranked team and it went to OT. Playing in a "nfl-like" offense is not enough. Not to mention his team is stacked - Michigan sent 18 players to the Combine, surpassing LSU's record of 16 in 2020.

I am open to Penix, only and I mean ONLY if this is the QB KOC wants. Murphy at 11 sounds good, but lets focus on THE QB with our first round picks. Please DON'T SETTLE!!!

I like your 3rd draft sim but we might have to give up more to trade up for Drake Maye. I would do it and the RB pick would be dope if we used our 2nd pick to take him but Kwesi will probably draft defense. We'll have plenty of cap space in 2025 to plug some holes on defense.

Boldly wait to 11 without giving up draft picks so instead of just getting a QB we get a great QB and other great players.

I wouldn't feel safe betting the farm to go get an unproven QB. If you can't move up to #5 with the first 2 picks plus a mid rounder or a player then just take penix at #11 and try to move up from #23 for a stud defensive player

IMO, if JJ goes to the Grants, we might have to move up to 8-10 if KCO like Penix, ( Denver, Raider, NO, or even Ram or Seahawk might trade up), take a chance at 11 for Penix, and JPJ at 23, if at 11 Penix gone then, at 11 DT, and JPJ at 23, KOC can made Cousin better in the last 2 year, I think we can give Penix a chance, as for 2024 if SD is so bad, then we will be in the top 3-4 pick in 2025

Maye wont be in the top 3 on draft night because teams know he is a project that needs work. 1.williams 2.Mccarthy/Daniels 3. Mccarthy/Daniels 4. Marvin Harrison jr 5. Maye by way of trade team tbd

Darnold under Oconnel could be just as productive as Maye under Oconnel. Their physical talents are very similar but Darnold a bit more accurate. Darnold was just on very bad teams .

please kwesi/KOC, do not pull a 49ers...do first two picks for DLINE help...and find a brock purdy in the later rounds...or a serviceable QB with pick 23 and best available DLINE with pick 11

There’s only been 2 times since 2000 that a QB drafted in the 5th round or later turned out to be actually good. One is Brock Purdy and the other was Tom Brady. The rest are are a bunch of nobody’s or journeyman backups. Purdy’s (Purdies?) don’t come along very often

Penix at 11 is taking Ponder. Why Viking fans want to hurt and be punished amazes me... Penix is injury prone. I would rather them pick BPA than take Penix. Heck I rank Nix WAY way over Penix. INJURY people! As for McCarthy? Well because the focus was to hype J.Daniels and not the Champ QB. OMG?? why cant people see this?? Percentages are near same... its just different amounts. Penix is a bad move. So, with the talent on the offense (if JJ stays cus KOC didnt get a top 4 QB) then they will make any QB look alright. Get a QB in 4 or 5th.

If we don’t trade up I’d much rather have Murphy Jr at 11, not the 5th best QB. Risk a later pick on a QB if gone. Darnold will be good for a few years.

Trading up is stupid. QBs are all about the same from 2-6. Give me Nix, Penix, Maye, McCarthy whoever is left at 11.
