Really nice that you added the stuff about the chemo patients. That will come in real handy for some people that might be doing that!🥰

Another note on crochet hooks - even if you don’t crochet, they are handy to have because they are often easier to use to pick up and fix slipped stitches especially in smaller gauge or tighter knitted projects.

thanks for the button tip!

Regarding crochet hooks - I've ALWAYS used them instead of 'cable needles' when knitting Aran-style projects. I find that, IF the hook slips sideways during the cable twist, at least the hook catches on the stitch(es) and prevents you from losing the stitch while working. I've been doing Arans for 50yrs and never dropped a cable stitch yet :-).

I wish you showed how to sew the snap part onto the faux pom instead of showcasing the end result. Even though you did explained what you did, it still would've amazing to see HOW you did it.
@LisasCreationsofLove5 жыл бұрын
Sewing pretty straight forward. You put the thread underneath the snap and pull the thread up through the opening in the slot, then go down in the next slot and so on. It's just like sewing on a button. If you have never sewn on a button or snap, there are some YT tutorials. Here is one for snaps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpqummCIoctgh6s

I purchased a loops and threads brand Pom Pom and it came with a large elastic loop attached to the underside of it. Now how would I attach it to my crochet beanie? Since the loop is kind of big I’m kind of confused where to put the yarn around it and how to attach it.
@LisasCreationsofLove5 жыл бұрын
Did you watch the video? I show how to attach one with a loop in the video. So, I'm not sure I understand your question.

@@LisasCreationsofLove They are saying the loop is bigger than what is showed in your video . I have gotten a few pom poms and the loop is way bigger than what is showed.

Can i add a snap to a pom pom that has a elastic already on it ?
@LisasCreationsofLove2 жыл бұрын
You should be able to cut off the elastic and add the snap. Or you can just put a button on the underside and attach the elastic part to the button.

Which one is your favorite way to attach
@LisasCreationsofLove5 жыл бұрын
It just depends on who the hat is for. For chemo patients with no hair, a snap is probably more comfortable than a button. I don't use the poms with the elastic because I make my own. So, I prefer using a large button and just tying the pom to it. That way the person can remove it easily for washing. Sometimes the large snaps work, but depending on the size of the pom, they can be kind of floppy.
