On the other hand, I find it quite awkward to watch. Maybe because somehow makes it look like he's using the iPad uncomfortably himself? I wouldn't mind if he covers the screen when reaching the upper toolbox because that's what would happen in real life if I were using the iPad myself anyways; the focus is now in the tool he's selecting, not in the image. My opinion, though.

I’ve watched this video over and over again because I compare how you teach this technique with others and yours is the best. I don’t know if the other tutorials are editing incorrectly and skipping steps but you manage to 1) keep it simple 2) take your time to explain the why without over explaining and 3) your editing is clean. As a beginner I can’t tell you how much I appreciate a video who can do what you do here. You may not have a million followers but know that you were able to teach one person who has no background in graphic design whatsoever to be able to do this.

Love this tutorial, you didn’t speed up the process and went through it very slowly. I don’t understand why people do tutorials and speed through the whole process, you can’t see what they are doing. I can actually go right along with you and create some beautiful art that I can be proud of so, thank you for taking the time to show the process nice and slow for us noobs...hehe

If I took anything from this that I will guarantee use, it's the fact that I can select everything on a layer by clicking the thumbnail and hitting select! Absolute game changer and would have saved me so much frustration trying to select certain parts with the selection tool!

This is a great tutorial, thank you so much! However, I am looking at it in March 2021 and when I select the middle layer and a colour, it does it automatically and does not look right. The edges are not crisp and if I use the brush to go over it like you show in the first example, it is just solid over all the lettering; any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi I love your work! I was wondering if there is a difference in selecting the layer and then coloring it manually with a brush, and alpha locking and then using the fill option?

I’m wondering the same thing. My method was in between the two; I alpha-locked and then colored with a brush.

for some reason when I go to change the colour with my brush like you did the pink mine barely colours in and has an opacity to it, ive watched the video over and over im not sure what I did wrong?
@VincitDesignCo4 жыл бұрын
I had this problem while first watching the tutorial. Depending on the type of brush you are using, coloring in the blur at first glance only fills in the pressure points which is sort of annoying. You really have to go over it so many times and put a little bit more pressure on it, otherwise it will look like a really faded tint of that color. I recently did this using the monoline brush and it takes FOREVER to fill in the motion blur layer because it's stretched so thing you really have to go over it a million times.

So what's the export options? Are you able to make a vector file out of this? In case what format? Or is it just bitmap options? If the latter is only option what resolution and format?
