Awesome. This has solved my trouble. You reserved the simplest for the last. You deserve a cookie too😂

I don't understand why illustrator make such an easy thing so complicated. They should just make an option to keep everything on the artboard. Anyways thank you so much for helping me out. :D

True. I really wish somethings were much simpler. However, if it helps, you can now use TRIM VIEW under the VIEW menu. But of course it's more of a viewing mode than true crop.

Greetings @Obians, just to thank you for posting such great content. Will simply want to ask if you can continue posting more content on illustrator and AE if possible. Thanks once more.

The 4th way is definitely the least destructive and effective way, starting at 5:44.

Very helpful!! I couldn't figure out how to slice a multi-layered design. I'm thinking it will be easier to use a mask! :)

shame you didnt explain beforehand that using a clipping mask will absolutely destroy all layers and move everything into one group, barely editable afterwards. Now, I have to start again from scratch ;( any text that is on the artwork is no longer recognised as text but as individual shapes. all text editing information (3d, distort, roughen) all that is gone and you cannot change it back to its original form
@OscarObians4 жыл бұрын
So sorry about that. Which of the methods did you use? I just tried putting some text (point and paragraph) in a clipping mask and they remained editable while they were in the clipping group. Are you sure you did not expand or outline your shapes at some point?
@frida53314 жыл бұрын
@@OscarObians I might have done, where you said keep on repeating the expand step I did so several times. I'm still learning so I'm not quite sure what I do right and what I do wrong. I used the last method after that and worked best so far. So still thanks for the video
@OscarObians4 жыл бұрын
Ah! That's where the issue came from. The expand option removes all editable properties and converts text to shapes. I'm glad the 4th option worked for you. Cheers.

Loved everything but the music. You really don't need it and it is distracting when trying to follow your accent.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Plus I got a better mic. So it can only get better.
