I've been watching a lot of videos on graphic design lately. I also follow The Futur and they're one of the best. But I need to say: YOU ARE BETTER! The way you structure your info, the way you speak, the length of the videos, the info in the description box..All of it is top quality! Great job!

The only way i knew how to do it was via the "Appearance" window. Simply apply the gradient via the appearance window. try it. Got another great tip for you in a few days i am at the NAB show in Las Vegas

Satori Graphics ... What an Epic but amazing Tuto. You answered my many questions about Non Destructive operation on Text; not only that but you also helped to remove a frustration i was experiencing since my first days regarding Text with Graphic Design tools. Thx Sooooooooo Much !

It's pretty cool that you can add a gradient to a text element without creating outlines, man honestly hope you don't stop doing videos or I'll stop learning new techniques lol

Great video! This was very helpful. I actually have a question, where I am now facing a little challenge. How can you edit edible text effect to warp the text in a circle. Its a text effect that I loaded in as an SVG file. Any idea?

Hi Is there a way where you can edit TEXT with multiple layers behind it at once? Thanks!

Hello Tom. On the third tip i can't choose the preset in the advanced menu of the impression panel...it is gray et i can't choose it !! do you have an idea of the problem ? Thank you very much Tom ;))
@FOX007-um1wr8 ай бұрын
Oh Wow, just made a design, and created outlines so I could add color to my text, I either forgot, or wasn't aware of making a compound path. Either way, great video. I'm going to save in a special file on KZbin.

Wondering if you can help, I typed a word over a picture to get that fill effect from the picture, now it won't let me create outlines. What do i need to do? Thanks!

Ok sorry one quick question: I did the first one type and shape option click; but I cannot UNDO it: separating the txt from the shape.....
@SatoriGraphics6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure but I think once you carry out that operation, you cannot unlink the effects. It's best to make a copy of your artwork before adding such effects. There may be a way to detach it with the pathfinder or something similar, but I haven't looked into it yet dude

Hi, the third trick...i have problem clicking the presets as the button is dim and gray out....why ya?....please advise...thank you!
@SatoriGraphics6 жыл бұрын
hmmm you need to use Adobe PDF 4 for that specific option. Do you mean the presets in the PDF save screen, or when you go up to edit > transparency flattening?
@stanleykho38656 жыл бұрын
Save screen - for us to select back the presets we had chosen and renamed earlier at Transparency Flattener Presets.....Thank you for your prompt reply....
@SatoriGraphics6 жыл бұрын
Did you make sure to select PDF 4 in the top right first? And what version of Illustrator are you using?
@stanleykho38656 жыл бұрын
Yes, maybe mine is earlier version of CC...lol
@SigurdurArmannsson6 жыл бұрын
You will have to have at least one item which is not 100% opacity. It could be a really tiny dot in the corner, I think it can even be outside the Artboard. Anyway, you can take the Transparency down to 1%, even less, so it will not get all the way to print.

Nice, really useful. Thanks for this. The second one is cool, but why can you edit text when it has been converted to a compound shape I have no idea. The third one is great but I think I would still outline the text and keep a copy before outlining the text for now.
@SatoriGraphics6 жыл бұрын
That is tricky lol. I I think it connects it to specific vector attributes but keeps it as a font.. somehow.

illustrator is a shit software. I bought AI templates but when I open the AI file, I cannot even edit the text at all. Adobe is damn stupid for creating such a not user friendly software. AI should not even exist. It is a burden to humanity.
