Nice guide Bo! Very well explained! Although this is one of the best farms in the game, unfortunately it’s just so boring as you’re just catching commons, no trophies, no unis. When I was there I fished for Steelhead from time to time just for a bit of fun plus the unis pay quite good money and XP. For the sturgeon I pretty much did what you did however I fished at another spot too from the island and rotated between the two. Once again the way you do these guides is top class! Keep it up!

Great video! Just to add another good bait for the sturgeon that also works with trophy and uni Carp is duck mussel meat. The trophy carp isn’t that far away from smaller sturgeon so it’s a good back up bait

Just one thing I’ve found difficult with your tutorials is the placement of the face cam, makes it hard to read all the equipment you are using if you don’t mention it all in the video the rest was fantastic thank you!

Yeah, I sometimes try and hide it, but its difficult in fishing planet, there always seems to be something somewhere getting hidden

I noticed stripe bass hit well on lures there and not bad rewards as well. Not to all the rod stands that don't lay close to the ground will have you fighting fish in for long times on the Sturgeon but it is doable with bottom snipers and the equal match rods. Just takes a minute. Definitely use a carp style rod holder if you can.

Casting a 1.5oz (42g) red medium spoon straight out from that peninsula, halfway between the docks on the right and the power tower off in the distance (right under where the sun rises), is a great location to nail stripers, and a few smallmouth and steelhead mixed in. It's okay, they pay better per pound and those small fish make for easy adjustments to overfill your net. Plus there are normal and trophy carp down the shoreline to the left about 80-120 feet away (and within about 25 feet or so of the weeds). That's a good spot for a variety of decent fish there. I'm still looking for the best chinook spot, though. They seem to be elusive. I know they're near the dam but I haven't been able to hook one yet.

Hey bo I'm level 80 in fishing planet and I've been loving the videos and streams lately. And I've even learned a few things from your tips and I highly suggest them to new players and even experienced ones, but could you possibly make a video about the fish finders I still find them somewhat confusing.

I keep getting like 80k and like okay I’m ready to go to the sturgeon farm, boom new things come up and I buy them for it so back to pike farming I go, I’m lvl 37 now and going back to pike bc I spent all my money for a match rod that can handle the sturgeon so now I’m back to pike farming till 28 for a better leader and maybe reel for the bottom rod idk tho I might say no and just go to sturgeon fishing with what I have bc I’m kinda getting sick of the pike grind

I’ve personally found better success on the, Fishing The Beaver island so I can cast under the docks. It provides shade and protection for the fish that like to come out at night so it seems to work just as well during the day even if it’s not peak bite. I also use spawn sacks and except for once I’ve only caught sturgeon on them. I use a Barbless #7/0 hook for extra xp, and the bite doesn’t drop. If you were to go for a #9-10/0 hook then the bites gonna drop a lot, I’ve done it, they just pick it up and drop it. With (BL)#7/0 Hooks and spawn sacks I’ve just been ripping out 40-50lb fish pretty frequently. I’m lovin the Cali sturgeon fishing. Makin good money, and catchin big fish👍 Edit: Been fishing since I posted this comment and I’ve broke my PB twice and I’ve been walking out with full nets before dark every day. Probably made about 60-70k dollars but I still have well over 540 spawn sacks left. Woohoo, to sturgeon farming.

The problem with this video is most people wanting this info will be moving from pike farm to here, in the lvl 34 range, but spawn sack isn't available at this level. A lower level wanting to follow the bottom sniper setup is going to get stuck on the bait.

Thanks for the tips, I'm currently sitting at level 22⭐ struggling to make money, and seems soon as I am able to save around 15-20k in game I have to use it for license and travel costs to complete missions, which in turn leaves me broke 😅😅

I'm the same level and I recommend getting a bigger keepnet, I spend 3.3k travelling to neherrin and only make like 4k, but with a bigger keepnet I can make about 6-7k per 3.3k travel cost

Bigger keepnet is everything but go to Everglades for that unique bass 💎 Also I get you I remember when I was that level I was actually still farming at Emerald for Walleye 😂 Everything is much harder without DLC gear but I love the grind.

San Joquin - Beaver - Several days here. 2x bottom rods w/ bells, tried spawn sacks, cut bait, mussel meat, shiners, everything. 1 or 2 Sturgion under 30 lbs. Lost 2 or 3 unkowns to line tension. WHY AM I NOT GETTING MORE STURGEON BITES ??? People around me catching them like crazy?

Two things you can do the 1st is fish for nothing but spotted bass at Lone Star Lake with a Gold #1/0 Casting Spoon on a spin rod. The 2nd thing you can do is go night fishing at Emerald for Walleye you'll make good money there much better than Lone Star. Also make sure you buy a bigger keepnet before you go to Emerald Lake bigger keepnet is everything. Bigger keepnet the more cash. 👌🏾

Was it nerfed or somthin. I only get sturgeon at the start of night and the end where I constantly catch like 5 in a row and it stops during the middle of the night even at peaks.

The #5/0 hooks will get the big ones as well as the smaller ones. It's just random, sometimes you get the big ones. You want a small enough hook that you keep the bite rate up, and a large enough one that will sometimes get the big ones. Just having a bigger hook does not necessarily give you a greater chance of catching bigger ones but it can negatively impact your bite rate.

I'm level 53 currently non premium account any recommendation for where to go to farm xp and money that won't break the bank? I'm wary of weeping willow carp, groundbait is expensive and confusing. I've been farming sturgeon since lvl 36 from years ago and have an unlimited pass to Cali but I'm rather tired of it. my bottom rods are 60lb line/leader with leviathan 10000 reel so 57.7 lb max drag. i have max carp rod setup which is 56 lbs. I was thinking of trying Akhtuba river uni Wels catfish. is that even possible with 56-60 lb gear given that the uni wels can be up to 130 lbs? currently have about 240K cash in-game.

You should certainly be able to catch the Wels there. You're just kind of at a weird place. I'd honestly probably just keep getting those sturgeon til 54 when you get Blue Crab isle- just one more level to go!

@@BoAngles ok thanks, uni wels look like they can be a few thousand xp and around 8k cash each which is why i was thinking of trying it for a change of pace. The level gap from mid 40's to the mid 50's is certainly weird due to lack of logical gear progression imo. i'm recovering from almost going broke around lvl 50 and trying carp out at weeping willow. it's unfortunate that WW is so expensive to fish due to how expensive ground bait is. i need a bit more safety net cash wise before i get the 881lb keepnet.
