Option 4: Remove the laces. To each of the two topmost eyelets attach some fishing wire, with the ends made into a bow. Take a _double_ wire paper twist tie and bend the ends over to form two sturdy hooks (single wire too weak). To "lace" your shoes, slip the fishing wire bows into the hooks.
