Reasone why the 3rd style works out in the long run is bcz it follows two amazing things in the market. 1. Dollar cost averaging 2. Power of compounding But there's an even better suggestion for those who prefer style 3. You can connect with a trust worthy portfolio manager who will ger money from you, peform analysis and invest in the stocks based on his intellectual decisions, and then pull it out when you need it while he takes his small percentage of profit/fees for looking after your portfolio on your behalf. These people are the ones who follow style 2. My frnd does that and it's a win win situation since you have someone looking after your portfolio thereby eliminating most losses that may happen in future which will increase your profits, unless market crashes.
