Honestly pretty good video. I liked your approach to the reality that web dev is not always just straightforward coding, it does include page builders, CMS, shopify, etc etc etc. It's a wide industry with so many different avenues and demands from clients. The thing is, getting good at coding in general is a skill requires time, sometimes, you will face the same/similar type error 2 times and then your brain will start to say "wait, i solved something like this before" and boom, you code a solution without googling it

Man, you're so nice, helpful and even handsome. No one ever told me of these small gigs. The most I saw/heard of "small gigs" was looking for freelance on freelance websites. Your video changed my perspective. What would I lose by being active instead of passive. Nothing really for an undergraduate. Im graduating in half a year and live in a country falling apart by circumstances, Im hoping to work online even at much lower salaries, which would stil be great locally, to support my old parents. I really liked the video. It also indirectly gave me the obvious answer of "I need to work hard to start. I can't just study, remain passive and expect to find a job easily. You can search all of the local businesses in your area, usually they will have social media or email/phone numbers you can use to contact them. Hope that was helpful

I watch a lot of career videos and the type of advice given here is rare and helpful. consider adding timestamps to the video, I think it will increase the video's rewatchability one question I have is how to get discovered when a possible client faces an issue with an integration for example Vid summary: 1. IOED (you think you get it but you don't) 0:48 2. ppl react by either going back to learn more and practicing or by giving up 1:29 3. Method 1: lighthouse reports 2:50 4. Bounce rate 4:40 5. Inspiring video! I recommend pointing your microphone towards the source of the audio it's recording (your mouth). What you're recording is the reflection of your voice of the room which yields a bad recording.

Especially with lav mics, they're usually designed to cut frequencies from the sides. You're doing great with the quality content though! I know how tough it can be. Try creating profiles on freelancing platforms, doing cold outreach on LinkedIn and also offer people free work for a set number of hours etc. Building trust and experience will lead to well-paid work eventually

Guys, with the advent of website builders and generative AI, isn't it wiser to focus more on languages like python , c+ and java? Have a strong foundation in the web technologies to understand how to integrate different stacks? I've been learning some HTML and CSS basics (i haven't learned JS yet), even tho i can write some basic code, it is nowhere near an functionable web. Do you think it's worth it to learn C# for 3D games that will take years to create especially if I'm a solo 13 year old coder?? I first started python then I quit it I moved to java then I quit just like python.Then Html,css and js ,swift,ruby and so on . It's probably worth learning something reasonably deeply. You can make basic 3d games using no code tools like Spline relatively quickly. But you can also do some 3D in JavaScript with ThreeJS. Id suggest talking to someone that works in game dev first because I know nothing about it. From what I can tell is it is difficult, lower paid and longer work than other coding industries. Definitely find a mentor though. I know this answer is vague but I do recommend you learn one thing well before quitting for something new

I took a game dev class and I used pygame. Python has alot of libraries for game dev. But I'm sure c# or Java or any language is ok for game dev as well. From what I've experienced, its mostly math heavy. Like trigonometry. You use Trig to calculate angles. For example if you wanted to make a game that an enemy is heading towards the player, you would use Trig to find the angle to point to.

​@Vision1-pd2he imo you shouldn't be focusing on the niche that you are going to get into when starting out, but you would rather instead get into programming in general and see if you are interested in it, I would start out by just learning a programming language that you are interested in(you are already doing that with java), and then after you get good at it you can start to explore other options like other programming languages or maybe think about the niches that you might want to get into now that you are acctually ready and are aware of other options and how it is like to code thats just how I think its best to get into programming and someone might disagree with my aproach

Here's what I'm doing: Step 1: watch a couple of those mind numbing hour long tutorials. Get some baseline for the things you need to learn. Step 2: find a video tutorial on the thing you want to code if possible. Step 4: Profit ... Step 5: go through the tutorial again and pause at each thing you don't understand, learn wtf that thing is, understand it, then continue watching. Step 6: watch tutorial again, with a better understanding of the code in the tutorial. Step 7: TBA

Charge as much as you can. The more money your client will make off it, the more you can charge. An ecommerce store that is doing well can pay a lot. If you're freelancing though, focus on reviews first not money
