Balancing a check book and living on a budget is paramount. I don’t have a car payment per se , but I put $350 per month into a separate account just for car repairs; tires oil changes. Actually, as for credit and building your credit, if you have a total of 30% credit card usage your score will be higher. When I turned 19 is when I got my first credit card (prepaid credit limit) of $300. I made sure I used 30% of that limit by the end of the month. Within a year I had an 800 credit score. I didn’t care if I needed to buy a pack of gum to get to that 30% usage. Or if I was over I made a payment before the end. Than after the month I paid it off.
@crishernandez62703 жыл бұрын
Where did you get your credit card from?
@joshuawarren52053 жыл бұрын
@@crishernandez6270 us bank. But any will do. On a 300 limit the minimum payment is 30 a month. So pay 31 a day early.

@@joshuawarren5205 how would I be able to pay it back? Do I spend it then deposit money back in it?
@joshuawarren52053 жыл бұрын
@@crishernandez6270 well it doesn't really matter what you spend it on. Might as well get your minds worth. This is what I did. When I got it, I maxed it out. And let that reflect on my credit for the month. And after that I started with the pay $1 more a day early. This shows the credit is being used. It's actually important not to get to much credit because you still want the utilization. No matter what others tell you, utilization is more important than the credit amount. Companies want to see they make money off of you, if you have so much credit you don't use, they won't wanna work with you and they know they won't make money cuz you're not using the card. Anyway. Start off by maxing it out and pay it right away. OR you can do which may be better, is make a purchase which is 30% of your total credit. Tgats the desired range to stay AT. not in. But AT EXACTLY 30%. And in no time you'll have a great score.

My point here is what im telling you is an honest way to live and plan for the future. Myself i did live in a camper on base in NOLA and i also lived in a VW bus in colorado one summer. Just my opinion I could be wrong. Also instead of saying you don't like to save, I think it would have been better to say I like to buy assets and then explain to people who don't know what assets are. If you are currently in collections you want to be in good standing as it can limit job selection.
