@@KingOf_America1776 BigDickBlack (could be little pee pee black or Jewish guy) is typical of the cross we remaining normal Californians have to bear. Thirty years ago this state was largely run by conservative Republicans. There was a massive Federal investigation uncovering our typical huge corruption. Then Clinton came in and fired every Federal attorney in every state replacing all of them with Democrat cronies. The RINO's didn't object and the corruption scandal was allowed to fester on. The Republicans had the majority in the legislature and were set to reverse decades of absurd gerrymanders. The Domocrats bought off one female Northern California legislator and started the really horrible redistricting that still continues. She retired to her brand new big ranch up north and her new vacation homes. The election laws were changed or not enforced. We almost certainly have the most corrupted electoral system in the country. An idiot alliance of RINO's and libertarians aided the Democrats in putting it in. The "Gubernator" Schwarzneggger proved to be a completely disastrous wimp, proving every negative idea you ever had about muscle boys to be true. While a huge percentage of Californians are still Trump conservatives we have been rendered powerless. Our California Republican Party is largely worthless RINO's, which is why nobody should ever trust Kevin McCarthy (not a close relative) or Harmeet Dhillon. Larry Elder is one of the few California conservatives I have some faith in. The National Republican Party, and we have all seen in the last year what a pack of worthless grifters they are, has abandoned us, claiming we are a Deep Blue state. They should know, they caused the situation. So now we have a state effectively run by little pee pee black (or Jewish guy).

I live in San Diego, and though there has been an increase in indigence, vacant storefronts, trash, and tents, I do have to say, that there is definitely a stark divide between the portrayal of California, versus what happens at the local level. San Francisco and portions of Los Angeles are not wholly representative of what is happening in our cities. I’m very conservatively minded, and haven’t been compelled to leave on an exodus to a state that has many of their own issues, along with infrastructure and real estate not coping due to mass relocations across the USA. What I do believe, is that, with proper planning and funding for the homeless population, drug rehabilitation, securing the border, and incentivizing small businesses and consumers without choking them with taxes and regulations, would help restore a little of what was lost in the last few decades.

as a Californian, I enjoyed the video. As for In-n-out Burger... I think most Californian's will simply look at you like you're nuts. not really get pissed off... the two big draws to In-n-out are the French fries are in their skin til they get sliced for your order. Yes each station does have a potato slicer at it. the over all quality is good, and amazingly consistent. In-n-out is not a franchise, its family owned and all the supplies are delivered from the central distribution center the day you buy them. they empty the distribution center every day also. so what you get is as fresh as it possibly can be. but the fun thing about In-n-out is the hidden menu which you can find on line. but basically you can get a burger pretty much any way you can imagine it. Yes my first day in California way to many years ago to admit to, I was taken to In-n-out burger... much to my hosts surprise I wasn't fond of them. I dislike the special sauce... 20 years later, I was told in no uncertain terms then order it with Catchup and mustard dummy. Made all the difference in the world:) The California environment... this should say a lot... 9 national parks, 200+ state parks. the highest point in the lower 48 100 miles from the lowest point in North America. we have recorded the hottest temperature in the world, and the coldest in the lower 48. about 150 miles apart. don't ever confuse the three metro areas with each other they are all very very different. and the Central Valley resembles Kansas more than the Image most tourist have of "California". there is a reason 40 million people live here, yet 2/3rds of the state is protected from urban encroachment as a National forest. number 3, California is probably the or at least one of the most diverse states in the US on just about any measure. the one thing that really separates it from most, is in California if you are seriously looking, you will find a way to realistically pursue your dreams, and in many cases achieve them.

As a Californian i would say in-n-out is alright, i only get it whenever I'm randomly hungry at 1am (although they do have really good prices, it's because they have few ingredients), I'd rather go to the habit that's close by, the tuna sandwich is really good (One way you could piss me off is if you talk bad about weed but you're okay with cigarettes and alcohol) (Also when you make assumptions about vegan food like "I thought it was suppose to taste healthy" "if there's no meat then what gives it flavor?", You ever heard of SEASONING, you know the same thing you add to your meat?, The only claim that vegan food makes it that it doesn't have animal products, so I don't know why people assume it has to be healthy, or that it's flavorless)

Stand on the right, walk on the left. Don't park your giant suitcase on one side and stand on the other. Don't stand two abreast and stand still. Make room for people to walk on the left. Interestingly, this is true even in countries like England where they drive on the left side of the road, they still stand on the right and walk on the left for escalators. Tube stations even have signs saying that. 3. Bashing the progressive politics or diversity of California. It's not ambushing you, you should already know that you will see, hear and smell things you don't see at home. Don't go to West Hollywood and then gasp that you saw gay people living their lives. Yes, there are problems in California. Yes, there are homeless people. A lot of them are from other states, maybe even from your state. Many homeless people do have jobs and still can't afford housing. Most of the tech workers are also from other states. Housing is expensive because so many people want to live here. # 1 rule for getting along is live and let live.

Lived in San Diego, California since I was 9 (before then I lived in Omaha, Nebraska). Honestly, I think In N Out is overrated mostly cause I'm more into pizza, chicken and ice cream than burgers. As a Nebraskan as well, same goes for Runza. I don't really care for cabbage or sauerkraut. One thing that really irritates me though is when people call California "Californ-eye-a". Only Bugs Bunny gets a pass to say it that way and he's a fictional character. Honestly, I'd rather have someone call it Cali instead of pronouncing it like Californ-eye-a. Absolute cringe.

I'll add my voice to the list of Californians who say In-N-Out's good, but not my favorite thing. I like variety. In-N-Out is excellent at a handful of very specific things. I pretty much order the same thing every time I go there (Double Double animal style), and I enjoy it, but I don't feel the need to go back more than roughly once a year. I'll visit the build-your-own-burger type places more frequently because I'm less likely to order the exact same thing twice. The one thing that really irritates me when friends or relatives visit is the expectation that I'll take them to Hollywood, Disneyland, or some other very touristy and crowded place. Go do that stuff on your own time! I avoid those places like the plague. (Er, bad example because the plague is everywhere now. I avoid those places MORE than the plague.)

In and Out isn't my favorite, but I find they're consistent in taste and they're cheaper than the other burger fast foods. A great place to stop if you're road tripping and see one on the way.

I lived in California for three years, Silicon Valley, in the late 80's. My work required extensive stays in Los Angeles. I never liked California. I felt that I was an east coast person living on the west coast. So, I moved back east. Since then I have lived in three other countries: the UK, the UAE, and the Bahamas, where I now live. I even became a naturalised UK citizen in 2003. However, California has always been the most foreign and inhospitable to me. I just couldn't adapt.

I can't even with IN-N-OUT. I'm happily a former resident of CA. The hype for that place was/is just insane. And it's not even unique to LA, they're in Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Texas. At least. Pretty sure there's one on/near the Vegas strip too. So, it's not even a California thing. Yeah, it's a perfectly good fast food place, but as for the name, you're in, and then you stay for a while. The location near where I lived on the corner of Balboa & Lassen in the valley would have the cars spilling out of the parking lot, two blocks down the street, blocking a lane of traffic. People would sit there for two hours. Not enough traffic on the 405?? (But at some locations you had the option to park and go inside, and that might only take 15 mins vs an hour+ sitting in the car line - so, that was willful traffic). So many better places to get a burger. I never hear anyone mention Carney's, hopefully still there. They had several locations when I lived there. It's a shame a chain gets so much hype, love, and attention.

These are my top 3 or 4 don'ts. 1) California is a very progressive state so if you're beliefs do not align, don't start arguments, that's how they roll in CA and you will definitely be scolded, 2) recycling is everyone and is the law. This is not only for cans and bottles but if you may be asked to separate other recycleables such as a recyclable plates, straws and even food. Definitely bring a bag or two if you are shopping because you may be charged up to $.25 if they have to supply you with one, 3) no jay-walking! if your destination is across the street, cross at a light instead of bolting across the street and never cross without a walk sign, and lastly 4) Californians love to queue. When you are waiting in line, there is one single line particularly with public transportation. They do not bunch up together to wait for the bus, one line. Californians are pretty laid back but you will feel the wrath if you do not follow the queue or cut in line.

Won't disagree about the other two but the only person I know who's passionate about In 'n Out is my brother-in-law and even he wouldn't get mad if somebody didn't like it. I rarely eat fast food hamburgers but if I do my favorites are Burger King, Five Guys and Fatburger. Most of us rarely, if ever, go to the tourist spots except the beach, Disneyland and Knott's. We avoid Hollyweir and downtown LA as plague spots, which they literally are since the bubonic plague aka The Black Death, is endemic there due to the high quality of our civil leadership. All of whom I'm absolutely sure were fairly "elected". I grew up in a beach city with my siblings. Only one of my brothers ever surfed and only for a short period as a teenager long ago.

As a East Bay native gal, here are my beefs when people come to visit San Francisco Bay Area. 1. Not Cali or Frisco. 2. Gripe about about the price of anything except housing. 3. Compare California to anywhere in the world. There's a reason why we pay what we do live here. Diss our politics. You're visiting, keep your opinions to yourself. 4. Not patronize the local businesses. We have amazing food, crafts and local pride. 5. Not make time to see at least 1 of the state or national parks. Side note, In n Out is ok but ask locals about where to grab a burger worthy of the greasy bag test.
