I don't know how I literally never thought to use videos of movies, dancing and etc, to do figure studies. That's a good idea. I usually use Line of Action & Pinterest. I actually often use screencaps of video games or cartoons I have already saved on my computer or phone as references. I like to re-design or re-imagine certain characters and like to give subtle nods to the source material. I would also supplement these with wildlife (because furries lol) or fashion photography.

I was always scared dlto draw humans. Im more familiar with drawing scenery and buildings. Until last year i decided to have a Pinterest board filled with human statue pics. And i tried to draw one statue a day. Im amateur so at first it was weird. But i enjoy messy pencil sketches a lot now. The only thing i still struggle with is hands or specifically limbs in general. I just cant for the life of me to figure out how to make them symmetrical. Maybe not perfectly but you know. Its a struggle and the joints always make me stop 😅. This was very pretty, i might try it but hands and all that will be an issue for me for sure! Thank u for this c:

I was in the live stream when they revealed the Atiny fan name on Vlive and OH BOY was it controversial. I also did not like it, but some people were actually going so far as to say they would not be fans anymore because they hated it so much! I’ve grown to dislike it less as time goes on, but I’m still not a huge fan (of the name Atiny), I must admit. Still a big Ateez fan! I definitely love the Stay name! I’m Staytiny even if I’m not a fan of being called “teeny” 😂

This is super helpful I'm definitelygoing to look up that channel. Thank you!!! One of the reasons why I don't like figure drawing is because the teachers always commented on my "cartoony" style, that made it even harder for me to learn to like my drawing style and I ended up dropping out. It's been years and lots of stuff have happened and I want to draw again, but I'm having a hard time with poses, since forcing myself to draw realistically messed up with the style I preferred. But I'm trying to get back to what I like most. Being in my room with music I like sounds great.

Thanks as always for sharing your art tips! Can confirm that drawing KPop boys is a great way to make your sketchbook sessions fun 😂. Lately I've been obsessed with drawing Jimin so my current sketchbook is just filled with pages upon pages of his face 😆. I don't love every drawing I've done and sometimes I think earlier sketches are better than later ones which makes me feel like I'm regressing, but drawing like this consistently has made me realize that my process has definitely improved. Maybe the older sketches were better, but they probably took me like 2x as long to do compared to more recent ones. I think by drawing the same subject over and over, I've gotten more efficient and confident at laying down my initial lines, which feels really good! So yeah, reminder that sometimes improvement is not super obvious, but it's definitely there 👍
