I recovered my files... sort of. Problem is they're all in CHK files now. How do I revert them back to their original files?

Here is the solution: 1. Create a text document on your computer. 2. Double-click to open, type ren *. chk *. jpg, and save. 3. Change the . txt suffix to . bat. 4. Copy the . bat file to Found. 000 folder. Double-click it to run. Then, the . chk files will be converted to . jpg files.

@@anyrecover5388 Actually they were video files, however I figured it out. I just had to edit the file title and change "CHK" to a video title like "WMV" or something like that. Worked like a charm.

It's showing the files but it's not saying scan completed. Should i just recorded them ? Also the screen is kinda cropped so i can't see the percentage of scan

thanks a lot. The chkdsk /f was already enough to recover my files. I had no idea it can do that.
