In many states a rear squated truck will get you pulled over. In Pennsylvania any police officer will pull you over and site you. All modifications to suspension needs to be reinspected and certfied to be road safe. This also has your title restated as reconstructed. This is PA law

I prefer degrees to inches. Just find a "rise and run to angle" calculator online and put in your front/rear difference as the rise, and your wheelbase as the run. On 140" wheelbase (most crew cab super-short bed fullsize trucks), a 5" difference will give you 2 degrees of angle, and a 7.5" difference will give you 3 degrees, which is the limit IMO. 2.5" aka 1-degree is the baby-squat. Very tasteful and gentle amount of squat, that is, but again, those numbers are on a 140" wheelbase truck.

My truck was at stock height, and I installed the same drop shackles that u showed and it leveled it perfectly and I'm fixing to take out the blocks and drop it a little bit. But it took me abt 3 hours to put drop shackles on. It was definitely a chore.

When u do the no block and 2 inch drop shackles I would recommend a two degree shim fat part to the rear. Pinion angle will be set back to factory. These trucks are not made like back in the day. It’s like they were designed by a guy wearing skinny jeans.

It’s simple pull 8 nuts off u bolts or maybe 9 with center pin depending on the direction ur u bolts go u may be best to break nuts bfor jacking truck up so not under load but must support rear of truck with jack bfor completely removing nuts remove nuts jack rear up a little bit pull block out set rear back on axle put u bolts back on tighten and ur done

Bar none the dumbest thing people do to a truck or SUV. I encounter these bastardized things daily. Take a perfectly fine vehicle, make it look like it has a broken rear suspension, throw the brightest LED headlights in without properly adjusting them and proceed to blind EVERYONE on the road. People talking about the "right way" to squat a truck... THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY!!! They are not designed to be driven that way and it just looks stupid. Not to mention you are shifting the vehicles weight and messing with the aerodynamics. Ok, maybe it's easier to get the beer out of the bed when you're 5 foot nothing tall... I don't know. I do know it serves no purpose whatsoever unless the goal is reduced visibility, poor handling, reduced payload, reduced gas mileage and disgusted looks.

Question for the truck itself, What year model and If there's a cam, What size cam in it? I plan on getting a older 99-07 Maybe even newer Chevy Z71 in my future and Looking to squat it a little bit like yours but not too much to where its sky rocketing and putting 12 wides or 14 wides on it. i think the blocks dont determine the actual height n some lifts are slightly taller/shorter than they say they are, a 6 inch lift could end up being almost 7 inches n that 3 inch rear block could end up being like 2 inches because theyre normally made to make a truck level which means the block even with its proper lift itll still slightly be leaned back about .5-1 inch so id suggest you get a 4 inch block if you want that 3 inch difference
