I’ve been contemplating whether to get something similar to the wacom adjustable stand or the monitor bracket and this video helps a lot, thank you so much!

I've been looking into the CBS Monitor Arm and have come to the realization that its the same as the Herman Miller Ollin Monitor Arm for those in the U.S.

I was thinking of something like a VESA quick release plate to mount to a monitor, then use into the desk?
@TACDetective Жыл бұрын
What size screws did you use in the vesa plate please?

thank you, I have the pricey adjustable Wacom stand, but it doesn't really make the Wacom go higher or leave room for a keyboard underneath. so I was looking at the huion stand, which was 140 dollars which is also pricey. but the huion stand is a knockoff from the cheaper BP0100 TV Desk Holder, which is 40-50 dollars. just needed to know the spacing of the Veta which is 75 mm and i know now thanks to you :)

My Cintiq 16 Pro does NOT have VESA mounting holes in the back. Can you recomend any sort of work around to solve this? I'd really like to get an arm for my desk.
@devonkong Жыл бұрын
Not sure but I've been looking into it too as my usual tablet is also a Cintiq 16 Pro

Thanks for the info. I'm currently using a generic monitor arm but I never thought to use weighted plates. Any idea where can get some or do I need to make my own?
@devonkong3 жыл бұрын
I found out about it by speaking to a customer service rep from one of the monitor arm companies, and I've seen a couple on ergonomic websites. Maybe you can contact the shop that sold you your monitor arm

i bought ergotron LX arm for my cintiq but the mount part for the vesa mount kinda loose on the four hole like i couldnt screw in more and got a lil gap , should i use some kind of screw washer for it?

I'd check with Ergotron customer support, they're usually pretty helpful with these things

Is it possible to use one of these without a stand, and just lie it flat on a table? Or would it overheat that way?
@devonkong Жыл бұрын
It works fine lying flat on the table too!

how do you connect both your second monitor and your cintiq to your mac? what cables and adapters do you have? I just bought my cintiq 16 and currently work with a macbook pro 2015 and a second monitor which I conect to via HDMI. I was planning to connect the cintique to my mac's HDMI port and buy an HDMI to thunderbold adapter to connect my second monitor to my mac via a second HDMI cable. Would this work? Thanks!
@devonkong3 жыл бұрын
My previous laptop was a Macbook Pro 2015, and your plan is pretty much what I did (HDMI and HDMI to Thunderbolt adaptor). I was also running a Thunderbolt 2 dock at some point, which had two HDMI inputs. Both worked fine for me!

@@devonkong you are welcome. I am using cintiq 16 about a year and seriously need a stand. unfortunately cintiq stand is not available in my place. Can you tell me 75mm any vesa mount perfectly fit with cintiq? Is there any difference between screw lenth with cintiq stand screws?
@devonkong4 жыл бұрын
@@indrajalcomicsinmotion9054 Yes, I believe that any normal 75mm VESA mount will work with the Cintiq 16. The screws that came with my monitor stand were a bit too long, so I had to use shorter screws that I had lying around. They're just standard screws that you can pick up at most hardware stores though

@@devonkong oh yes i wanted to ask, the back of the cintiq 16 is slanted, do you feel it slanting when you write on the mounted cintiq?
@devonkong3 жыл бұрын
@@a.s.l711 Not quite sure what you mean, can you elaborate?
@miss_bhello79252 жыл бұрын
@@devonkong I think they were referring to the cintiq's back being thicker at the top than at the bottom, and wondering if that would cause the screen to face downwards when on an arm mount.

At the start it did, but I got used to it after awhile. It kinda forced me to adopt good posture too - straight back and bigger arm movements
