Great video Pushbikes are still being used today by toddlers. it’s actually considered by some a great way to teach kids on how to balance on a bike over training wheels and tricycles.

I've seen Amish kids on occasion zooming around on something similar. They use it kind of like a scooter, and there's a rest where they put their non-pushing leg

Soup was often the only food that was eaten hot. So only the spoon needed to be warm.
@PierceArner2 ай бұрын
Also, I expect that soup is a dish that's most impacted by the thermal conductivity of the utensil simply because of the amount of surface area that the spoon shares with the liquid is REALLY significant, so the difference a spoon matching the temperature of the soup makes will be vastly more noticeable than most other food & utensil combinations.

Hey Fenn! Idk if you've seen already it already, but if you're interested in history, there's a culinary history channel called "Tasting History with Max Miller." He recreates recipes (or close approximations) from all different time periods, from ancient Rome to the 1960s, shows you how to cook it, then gives some history of the dish and the time period. It's a super fun way to both learn history AND interact with it! Tasting something someone 100+ years ago could've tasted is a really cool experience.

My great grandmother had a spoon warmer. As a little kid helping out, i was told to grab the gravy bowl. Needless to say, i in fact, did not grab the right thing.

That one w/o pedal is actually most velocipede of them all, and it is the immediate predecessor of modern ones. Fast feet. You essentially moving using legs, but when it is needed, you mount it and ride while you have enough energy

I'm liking the new shift in content. I'm glad you're enjoying making these kinds of videos, and I hope you can keep it up!

We literally call bicycle a velocipede. Name literally reflects its characteristics: fast feet. Thus if it gets powered by any kind of engine, it legally loses its status in road law, and becomes moto- vehicle: motorcycle, motoroller, or scooter, and gains all related requirements and restrictions, like driver license. If only this was enforced by force!

Such strict policies and regulations, not to mention the fear of being sued for money or imprisonment. Can we all just chill out and try to have fun again?
