in the Netherlands you have an area after the cash register that is split up by a movable plank. After the cashier is done with one customer, the plank is moved and the groceries of the new costumer are now guided to the other side of the packing area. The groceries of consecutive customers are kept separated this way.

Well, some cashiers, if they see you too slow, help you bag things because you are interrupting the line. In fact, you should try that, be slow on purpose.

Why is everything closed in August??

People going on vacation. It's fucking 44 Celsius, everyone either hides inside the house or runs away to the countryside/sea.

it's an actual oven here and everyone goes away. Madrid becomes a ghost-town

it's actually also more efficient for office work for example if everyone leaves at the same time.

I'm from India. The second happened to me once. From the very next time, I did this: I gave all the items at the bill counter, then I started keeping everything inside my cover/carry bag. I gave them my credit card only when I'm done what I have been doing. So, the staff will wait till I finish. It's kind of rude, I know, but since the staff at the counter is not helping me in packing, then she should wait for the payment until I'm done packing.

It was way worse back in the 80s. no one inthe streets I had to come back from the Sierra to Barajas to pick up someone coming from the US and the seid, is ther a curfew or something? People the vacate mainly in August

Pretty bad example you give when crossing a street holding a phone and recording.... you want to teach people do it but be conscious that teaching/sharing knowledge is not just about saying words but it is a whole package.... not to mention the use of the f word .... if those things are no problem for you than this video was only made for producing likes for you ....
