One thing you missed was that the driver memory seating is only offered on the Denali trim which is a HUGE miss by GM. I can almost understand leaving it off the base model but this thing is supposed to be a family vehicle so not including that on all trims vs a heads up display (which is available on all trims) is just crazy to me.
@XxchickMagnetxАй бұрын
Also the cooled seats should be mandatory, cuz no Acadia I believe comes with cloth seats. All leather from what I’ve seen at my dealer and looking on build gmc

I got my elevation trim at 38k out the door after trade in, etc. I test drove it and it drives pretty good man. The only difference of the higher trims is the price and sunroof and stuff like that. But my trim is very nice and AWD. I also got a life time warranty for a load of covered things. I say i got a pretty good deal.

Your comments about the gruff engine sound during acceleration are rather interesting if not passe'. Recent surveys among drivers show that due to the increasing prices of fuel and societal norms, although they like to have the capability, very few drivers feel the need to drive aggressively and rapidly accelerate anymore - where the turbo would kick in, suck higher rates of fuel and cause excessive engine noise. Adaptive Cruise Control and Super Cruise are proof drivers that would rather sit back, enjoy the ride and sip fuel rather than stomp on the gas and make a lot of noise and stress; and society prefers drivers that don't either. Those segments of drivers that still felt a common need to rapidly accelerate are generally limited to: those towing and occasionally need to accelerate up hills; those passing vehicles on highways that are traveling slower than the speed limit; and the teen/twenties drivers who feel the occasional need for speed and to make a lot of noise as a right of passage. Either way, the Acadia's engine configuration and sound temperament meets all of these requirements - quiet when driving normally, and powerful and aggressive sounding when needed.

I Totally Agree you Likes and Dislikes of the 2024 GMC Acadia. My Major Suggestion is for GMC to replace the 2.5 Turbo with the 2.7 Turbo found in the GMC Canyon.
@XxchickMagnetxАй бұрын
No. Trust me on this one when I say no. I work at a gmc Buick dealer. Just no. They should have kept the v6 and revamped it with fixing its issues. These new 4 cylinders will have major problems. Have already seen some outrageous and down right dumb with these, the canyons and envistas and encores
@ArchYeomans3 ай бұрын
Over 320 horsepower and 320 ft lb torque for a 4-cylinder is pretty good. It will perform well at high altitudes with the twin turbochargers. Make an AT4X variant with more torque out of the engine and higher lift to 8.5 or over 9.0 to compete with the Outback Wilderness.

I have the Traverse Z71. Really nice car, but the engine is rough sounding. Very responsive and smooth on the highway, but rough getting going. 27 mpg on the highway at 80 mph. However, I definitely like the screen on the Traverse, rather than the tabet on the Acadia.

I know there are critics but I really liked the 3.6 V6 and the change to the turbo 4 was a huge reason I didn’t wait to go to the new generation from my 2017. I hate the sound and feel of these 4 bangers companies are putting out. They sound harsh. And reliability of the turbos is suspect too. Stick with what works. 3.5L V6's and even a light turbo for the Denali. 350 to 370 hp is ideal. For the top trim. I mean a Kia stinger had nearly 400hp.. also agreed they need a bench for 2nd row for sure. Make it a legit 8 seater for families...
@XxchickMagnetxАй бұрын
Yes especially the 2.7. If you don’t let them idle down they will take you for a ride at just idle speed 😂. Not only I would like to know why these 2.5 have a weird idle smell from under the hood. Not saying it’s caused by idle but it’s noticeable just after a few minutes of idling. Maybe a coating burning off?

Engine is way too loud on acceleration. This will change my decision.
@JamesCDavis-dn2qb3 ай бұрын
It is a little louder than I like when I have the pedal to the floor. During normal driving it’s fine. But the power is there! I put out AT4 in sport mode and it spin the front tires loose. Not enough to lay down rubber lol! But it was able to brake traction which is impressive for such a heavy vehicle with a 4 cylinder motor. The insulated windows and noise cancellation make a huge difference in engine noise.
@975warman2 ай бұрын
I personally love it. It's louder than my current 2012 Acadia, but the 2023 Acadia was silent and I hated that. I decided to wait until the 2024 came out, test drove it and loved it. Only thing that stopped me was the pricing and just waiting to see the overall reliability of it.
