I told myself I was going to watch 5 mins of this video and I am 1 hour and 15 mins in and cannot stop being impressed. The carpentry to build a whole house by yourself. The engineering to use the river for hydroelectric power and then wire the whole house and the outhouse. The skilled fishing to catch so many kinds of fish. Then you cleaned, gutted, and roasted them. Culinary skills. The gardening alone! Tilled, sowed, watered, rotated crops, and harvested the whole land! Wow doesn't even begin to cover what my brain is experiencing. How did you learn such a variety of skills?! How do you have time to do all of them and still shoot this video? Different angles. Close ups. Establishing shots. B roll. Time lapse. Character shots. And then simple things like bathing in the river. The breaks for the rainstorms. The cinematography. @michelfortier9563 Yes, and yet it seems that this was done so as to eventually use modern technology and post it on KZbin to get views. I think that though this can be an adventure and fun and challenging and also "Put you in touch with nature" and "Learn and appreciate the skills that our most distant ancestors used" etc, you will have to deal with getting bitten by bugs and having them crawl into your clothes and maybe being bitten by poisonous snakes or spiders or other such creatures and you may even get Dengue or Malaria or a very bad case of diarrhea that you will have to get to civilization to get medical help Also this young man is not completely turning his back on civilization and its ways but is bringing technology to the jungle location where he is by devising ways to get electricity in his crude hut. Also this is a very young man , maybe in his early 20s who still has his strength and agility and Able-bodiedness.. There just would not be a lot of people who are past their 40s and/or who have medical issues like asthma or diabetes or who need regular dialysis who can or will be able to do this. Fact is that even though out of thousands of generations of humans there may only have been some 4 most-recent generations of humans who have known a world with refrigeration, TV, indoor heating and cooling, and the invention of the automobile, airplanes, and railroads (etc.) modern humans have known the conveniences of technology for too long for people , per-se, to merely adapt to going back to hunting with spears and picking berries and nuts off of trees and bushes and using leaves instead of toilet paper.

What I find incredible is that this young man knows how to do everything! he knows how to work all the elements, wood, earth, stone, water, fire... and air. When he rests from time to time, he takes a breath while sitting with his dogs on the steps of his practical and tidy house. I appreciate its small espalier garden and the fish pond.
