he is still playing, he is around 1000-1200 elo and played in january, february and may this year, he isn't winning all the games but still pretty impressive (he plays mostly standard but also bits of rapid and blitz, over 150 ranked games already in these modes, with whites winning over 50% of games but with blacks losing nearly 50%, ties take about 15% no matter if he is black or white)

My son was an excellent chess player at 3. He was also fluent in three languages and could read and write. He grew up to be normal, intelligent but not Uber nerdy. We moved to Australia when he was 7 and he lost the ability to speak German and Dutch. He lost interest in chess and would likely fail to reach a 1000 rating. Kids are amazing in their first years. Like sponges for learning whatever they set their attention to. Some parents push their kids to excel, but I think it’s better if they do things only as long as they enjoy doing them.

This is hilarious. I play chess with my three year old. He saw me playing with my older children and now he's the only one who'll play me. He keeps insisting and it's kind of annoying but cute. He always plays white and his first move is usually h3. Then he asks me how he can take my pieces. Sometimes he gets moves right, and I'm thrilled when he does. It's so funny to see a boy his age dressed up like someone who's born in the 50s and actually understand the game.

One of the most amazing things in the original video was when Karpov asked Misha what was the opening he, Karpov, played, and Misha immediately gave the correct answer (защита Нимцовича or Nimzo-Indian Defense in Russian)

@hermionelovegood9814
@hermionelovegood9814 Ай бұрын
@@DineshRajnalkar0321 Of course I would lose this position against Karpov but I would lose basically every position against Karpov unless I have something like four extra queens. And I know that this structure is bad but when you talk about a position being borderline lost, for me that sounds like there is no hope in the position. And not because your opponent is 2000 Elo points higher rated than you.

15:03 as a 10 year old I solved it in like 5 seconds, took from c1 to e1 then if knight doesn't move it eats knigt on e6 and then queen g7, but if he does move the knight then just queen g7 but if he instead protects it like rook from d7 to e7 then uh same thing, rook takes and queen gives mate

The kid is undoubtedly exceptional! The first puzzle was actually fairly simple, and I saw the solution at the first glance. The second puzzle was more challenging and quite interesting, but it was still solvable, as there was nothing else to do if the back-rank mate was to be avoided. But the third puzzle-oh, my God! I failed to recognize the solution to that problem because, contrary to conventional wisdom that having only a king + a knight or a bishop is not enough to mate the opponent's king, I had not even considered the idea that one of the two figures should have to be sacrificed.
@36AccountsBlockedRIP
@36AccountsBlockedRIP Жыл бұрын
This is Russian TV so I'd be skeptical. The kid must have seen something similar to the third puzzle before and had an idea what to do. It's pretty incredulous for a three-year-old to solve that one out of the blue in front of an audience with limited time, especially considering that this kid is now about 10 and 1173 rated. If he had done that third puzzle out of the blue at that age, surely he'd be 2000 by now without even trying hard.
