When it comes to squashes and watermelon and pumpkins my grandma swore they belonged growing on the ground or the sun would burn them. Not sure how true that is, but thought maybe that would help for next year

My hope was for the pumpkins to be in the grow bag, and to have them vine out and grow along the ground, but they never went past the grow bag this year 😩 Glad you are here! 😃🌻

Wow your garden is always prolific and beautiful thanks for sharing. I have tried growing lavender but all I get are seedlings and then they die off and the same with lemon balm. Do you have any tips for growing lavender and lemon balm? Yes you are very blessed ❤.

Hi! And Welcome! Thank you I have enjoyed so much sharing my garden with everybody. It’s something I really look forward to every week now. And my hope is to also share more videos on seed starting, seeds that I use, cooking from scratch and preserving. When it comes to lavender and lemon balm, there’s a few things that come to mind the temperature of the room or garage. And how much water they get. I personally have made the mistake in the past where I over watered and under watered a seedling and it died on me. And as long as the soil is airy enough for root growth which if it germinated it sounds like the soil was good then I don’t think it’s a soil issue. So maybe temperature or watering. Always keep trying and don’t give up. What did not work that time try it differently or just keep trying. 🥰 I hope this helps if you have any other questions that you think of feel free to ask and I’ll answer it as best as I can, but those are the two things that come to mind based off what you’re telling me. And I am planning to do a video on my seed starts and show my whole set up that I have in the garage because I think that’s very helpful, I know for me it helped me when I started. I still like to see how others do things because that’s how I continue to learn and tweak things as I go. And of course experience is one of the best teachers. And thank you. ❤️🌻😊
