Using ather 450 plus gen 2 from 3 years. Biggest problem is seat comfort. I get serious back pain because of badly designed seats. Expensive maintenance cost. Even regular maintenance will cost 3-4k. Overall build quality is very good. Battery is excellent. No comsiderable drop in range.

Bro many people doesn't know that riding in eco o ride mode needs more power sometyms n battery gets drained soon.. so riding in sports or warp mode doesn't needs much power so ride in sports or warp mode in minimum acceleration you will get it... Still depends on the person who rides.... Enjoy it

Most irritating part of Ather is its high frequency belt/motor noise which no idiot mentions. It is really very irritating for any one travelling on or beside the scooter.

Damn ...my 8 yr old himalayan service costs is not more than 4k for 14k kms yearly. I found a very good and cheap local mechanic ... In official service center it costs 10k and upwards yearly for 2 service. I have maintained my bike very very well unlike others. Oh there is 500₹ extra. Every 4k due to chain maintenance. ...also I get 35kmpl.,..good enough for me considering the power. I'll wait for another 5 years to go for an electric vehicle.

Good details, While turning Ather450x I need to keep my leg down and take turn. Once the scooter has 200km + range charging ecosystem wont help. realistically not helping due to lack of availability anyway.

I own a gen 2 and done about 51k km. Last month service cost me 16,000 which is un acceptable for a scooter and evry 5000km service would cost min 7000 to 8000 unacceptable for a scooter, even my suv ' service cost lot less. Other than the service cost and had ride the scooter is good.

If you ride in Zip mode, in 20-40 kmph you may even get more than what's shown on dashboard. There's a chance that it may even exceed range of Smart Eco mode.

I love my 450x Trouble free and sorted product. Seat is definitely a problem. It is sloped and puts weird strain on your lower back. I would suggest get foam added. Secondly, the service is pricey and parts are usually out of stock. Everything else is top notch.

Indie.. the scooter is really good. But, this is first version of scooter, refinements and improvements can be seen in 2nd version. I'm excitedly waiting for their 2nd version. Rizta, since it has longer market presence and had done refinements in previous models, this seems more favourable to choose, if you are looking for a confidence while purchasing. The most driven Indie I saw rode for 4K kms... No clarity on longevity yet.

@GreeenRide I think there is a price difference of 30k between ritza and indie. My useage in petrol vehicle is around 100 km per week which is least or would drive more too if I get battery power bike . So battery charging would be low which means more life to battery. Indie owner made it clear that until 2026 there won't be an upgrade. Do you know what type of battery indie is using and type of motor. Whether it is good. Thanks for the reply.

The worst decision a buyer or consumer makes when they buy a new technology hastily and end up regretting it. The EV market is still not mature enough, it will still take 5 or more years to mature and create a reliable EVs. Also buying a second hand Suzuki Access 125 is better than buying any new scooter

I have some serious questions and red flags for the Ather Team about build quality and durability of a product which costs almost 2 lakhs. Why a scooter with 4800kms in odo need to change entire Cone Set in its very first service. When I asked for warranty claim, they told cone set has 4000kms warranty. When the 1st service is 5k kms why the hell warranty is set to only 4k kms? It’s a fit case for manufacturing defect, I have several scooter in my garage, never heard of cone set change so early! My scooter came with an unbranded disk brake callipers while all the other scooter comes with Bybre callipers. Later I came to know it’s from Endurence brand which is cheaper compared to Bybre one. That’s fine for me, until recently I noticed the golden colour of the calliper is peeling off which is utterly dissatisfying. Thats not all, now the colours of the exposed underseat"A" shape frame is chipping off too. It’s now look filthy. What a shame, for a manufacturer who boasts off its product quality and durability and one of the key design of it’s product shedding it’s colour within 6months!!! Pathetic!!! So, as an automotive enthusiast this is a real concern for me as how will the scooter age with time. How different Ather is from Ola and other scooters in terms of durability and quality. Why so much fuss about premium scooter when it’s not upto the mark! Why we pay hefty premium for scooter and it’s service!

The limited suspension travel of the front forks leads to a lot of shock transfer to the forks and stem leading to accelerated wear on the cones. If you can reduce the pressure a bit on the front tyres that helps a bit . Always fill with your own air pump most road side air guys overfill a lot and sometimes almost 50 psi !! BTW the front forks are the same as splendor . In case you overhaul you can do it easily outside with splendor fork seals and oil. The forks are easily removed with out removing entire front .

I am owner of Bounce infinity e1 with a battery of 2.5 kW. It is giving me a range of 100-110 km for single person and 15-25 kg luggage in eco mode. I have driven 12000 km in last 7 months, no issues. Its battery is 80 % charged in 45-50 minutes and 100 % in 90-100 minutes.
