Conical supports vs tree supports. Thoughts?
@DesktopInventions2 жыл бұрын
I think tree supports are more efficient and better in most cases. But sometimes I slice a model and see a mess of many small tree supports starting on the first layer and choose to go with a different support 🤣

great video. but ironing actually DOES extrude a tiny amount of filament to fill in the gaps. I think by default it's 10%?

Fuzzy skin and one-at-a-time are in PrusaSlicer too, but the rest isn't. You can also put in a color-change on PrusaSlicer, which will actually move the head away, eject the filament, and wait for you to put in the different color. Keeping rafts for color matching is a cute idea. If you're embedding metal like his bottle opener, hit it with some glue stick first, and the filament will stick to it. Also take care if you do this with a magnet that it doesn't stick to your nozzle. PrusaSlicer you can click on any setting to open a web page about it, just like the settings guide.

everything apart from marketplace and conical supports is in PrusaSlicer, ironing extrusion width etc..

Great tips! Thanks for the comment! Yes use brass nozzles if you're going to embed a magnet, not a steel nozzle!

That's actually Cura hacks, not 3d printing
@DesktopInventions2 жыл бұрын
There is some of both in there 😉 also most of the "cura" hacks apply to Prusa Slicer as well
