@@lynn_2909 There is no such thing as Turkish society. You all share same middle eastern culture and you should get along. I hope your government declare other languages as official language since there is more than 10 million refugees who can't speak Turkish and forced to speak Turkish.

Wow! By far the best food review video of Istanbul. Thank you so much for this amazing video. I am planning to go to Istanbul in September, and I am often overwhelmed by the amount of things to and the amount of different foods to try. In this video, everything is clear, concise and straight to the point. Istanbul looks like an amazing place with so much culture. The food looked absolutely amazing. I am Persian of origins, and I am pleased to see how many foods from my culture are similar to the Turkish culture, such as baklava, the kebabs, the yoghurt drink( we call it dookh) and the pickled vegetables in juice( we call it Torshi) and the chai which, in our country we drink, holding a sugar cube between our front teeth. Often time our chai will be flavoured with saffron and rose, petal water. Thanks again for your hard work and putting this together.😊👍👌

There is some spesific city in Turkey called "Erzurum" drink the "çay" just like you described. They first hold the sugar between their teeth and drink the tea :) This is an old culture for us i guess, but still there are a lot of similarities with your culture ! :)

I just have to correct you there !! All manti types of dishes are 100%Turkish , these Turkish dishes were so prominent because everything that the sultan ate became very famous thru the whole Ottoman Empire ! So every dish in the Middle East (90% ) Greek and even Italian cuisine is of Turkish origine and yes even the Jewish cuisine , like hummus , bagle and many many more !! From where did pizza and pasta came from !! During the Rennaisance the Turkish influence was everywhere and Turkish merchands lived in Venice , Rome etc and the so called noodles became spaghetti and the manti became ravioli and pastirma became pastrami and espresso was the good old Turkish coffe and much much more !!

The reason why they sometimes serve each mussel individually for your is because very rarely it can happen that a mussel has gone bad, since it can get very hot in Turkey during daytime. An untrained eye wouldn't even notice, hence why seafood is notorious for causing food poisoning, but they usually can tell immediately

1. Habibi is an Arabic language word it's not in the Turkish language the same as the first guy's name occurs in the video. 2. Kunefe, Turkish breakfast, Menemen, and Cheesecake are not even street foods in Turkey. 3. Even though we have some street foods we do not have an expanded street food culture so, do not classify Turks as Arab nor Indian.
