$30 AMAZON FREE SKATES VS. $120 JMK FREE SKATES

Alright just a disclaimer, they were paid to promote the JMK by the company, the price difference is amazing as they are only 30 bucks, compared to 120 plus shipping which comes to about 140. I have the amazon 30 dollars free skates and have learned it in about 2 weeks and am starting to pick up tricks, they are perfectly fine I promise.

Okay so I have actually have had both and to sum it up if you want these as a toy then the $30 ones will be fine for you. If you want something that will last you and make it easier to go faster and keep speed than go with the $120 ones. Imo they are pricey but if you actually use them then it’s worth it.

So here's the score, I lived in China for 8 years and have ridden every brand made. I used to order pairs off of the Chinese ebay (taobao) for very little money. The different in quality is tremendous. It matters more when you become more experienced, but heavier riders can actually bend or break the cheaper skates. I've done it with a few of the cheap pairs. The weak S body mold just can't hold up to jumps or flip tricks. The JMK is build to last. The wheels and bearing are also way better.

To add I feel like trying to ride the cheap one required way more muscle activation, so when I upgrade the wheels and bearings it was super easy to move. After you learn to move the next thing is muscle stamina

I bought the 30 dollar ones on Amazon they work ok. I worked on on it 1-2 hrs a day for 5days before I learned to pump. Upgraded bearings and yellow orangatang wheels extremely fast and easier to pump now. Spent, 30 for skates plus 20 for bearing and spacers 50 for wheels yes cheaper then 120

When you're using two wheels in-line like that, the faster you go, the more stable they get, due to gyroscopic force (the texture of the road makes a difference as well). That's why Kelly could drop in and turn, but not turn at slower speed around the manual pad. Works with bikes and motorcycles as well.

Just hold them side by side and drop them on the flor. You can easily hear why the JMKs are worth more. The same happens if you're blindfolded and someone rolls by. You hear the difference. And i imagine you can feel it as well. The rounded wheels help keep more surface/traction when leaning, thus makeing the JMKs easier to use. From an engineering/design standpoint, you can also plainly see the quality difference. JMKs are worth the money. 👍

These vids are actually great advertising for skateboarding. All Braille’s stupid skate videos, you make we skate, etc-they’re all sortof how to videos on how to have fun as beginning skaters. The tricks in this vid are like the “tricks” I’d try when I was 8 and just standing on a moving board was a big deal. Goes a long way to contributing to the fun of beginning. Brilliant promotion of the sport!

Rounded wheels gives you more mobility and there is less friction since less wheel is touching the ground while you roll. That is why the rounded wheels seem to work better.

I have the $30 skates. They're great and I was able to learn to ride them even though I don't know how to skateboard or rollerskate or anything. Recently I tried the expensive brand and they were a smoother ride, possibly because the wheels were bigger, but they were harder to attempt tricks on.

If you try the cheap ones and learn them, then it will then definitely be worth it to buy the fancy ones. While the cheap ones are certainly durable, they don't have replaceable parts.

I've only been free skating for a about a week, and I've just got to where I can pump comfortably. I bought a cheap pair and a jmk pair. I can honestly say the jmk are way better. The shape of the wheels is the difference maker. Makes it easier to pump. The bearings are probably a factor as well. With the shape of the jmk wheel it's much easier to gain speed right away. The shape of the other wheel feels ok once you get going, but it's a lot harder to get there.
