Battlestar Galactica is an American science fiction television series created by Glen A. Larson that aired on the ABC network from September 17, 1978 to April 29, 1979. It stars an ensemble cast led by Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch, and Dirk Benedict. The series follows a group of human survivors fleeing the destruction of their homeworlds aboard the titular spacecraft, searching for a new home while they are being pursued by the Cylons.

@@thatgregguy Yep, Richard Lawrence Hatch is dead though. And so are Flight Sergeant Jolly (Russell Anthony (Tony) Swartz (September 24, 1943, in Iowa thru September 27, 2016, in Missouri) and Richard Hugh Lynch (February 12, 1940 in Brooklyn,NY thru June 19, 2012 in Yucca Valley,CA).

Most of the cast members were already in their golden years, when they starred in BG. It is no surprise that most since had passed away.

My dad was a big fan of Ben Cartwright (Lorene Green) so he watched BSG with me. He was from Mexico and when he saw James Edward Olmos as Adama in the reboot he said no way he's Adama. And he liked James Edward Olmos.
