Great gift ideas 🎁 You are brave with matcha tea! Have you tried 1/2 caffeinated and 1/2 decaff coffee? It might cut down on the jiters

hmm, for voice actors I'm afraid, the Isolation Shield does nothing, sigh, I truly dislike singers cause of how easy their setups are the Isolation Shield is for singers as they need the natural reflection. what this shield does it diffuse, which separate sounds, the treatment voice actors need is absorption of sound, so diying a setup is preferred if you do have the space to diy, buy rockwool from home depot 51 usd for 5 panels those panels are 4 inches, that means it's very thick and that's what we want, we want a dry sound for voice acting, when they say they want professional sound they mean dry or dead space basically. now when you get the rockwool you just need a mask, gloves to put it together, of course do this outside, and grab any fabric you can from a lower priced store or something, this is to stop particles from escaping. Note if you're in an apartment, an can't hang stuff on the wall, you can use pvc pipes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGakoXyNl8-pmaM this is a simple video of a voice actor making one. now if you want the shield, you'll need to get some other stuff, grab some towels, and place it over the top of the isolation shield, place the shield on a carpet it should be thick, if you have a closet place this in the closet, if you don't put a lot of towels, or thick blankets over the shield this will cause the shield to be heavy, so having a good stand is great, but the heavier is it, the more absorption. sorry for the long rant, many voice actors see these shield and don''t realize you spend more on these shields than diy setup. lastly if you have a couch, take the cushions set it into a triangle, and place another cushion on top of that and place your mic in, ALSO VERY IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE STUFF BEHIND YOU, CLOTHS BLANKETS, WHATEVER MAKE SURE IT'S THICK. people always forget the front.

Hi! :) Thanks for sharing all of this. I do already record all of my VO audition requests at home in my small walk-in closet and it sounds great. I just wanted to have a way to set it up more permanently in my closet. I also do often place a blanket over me and the mic for the best sound :) I will let you know once I update my set-up and see what you think!

@@BelgicaPaola sure, I don't mind. the price for that is 58-9 usd, and I felt like with that much money you can make something way more better.
