This was a superb video! I have been in those parts-I was in Hardangervidda in September- but am considering doing this trail, and your video was very informative. Hi Jais! Lovely video and amazing music. I am planning to hike the massiv trail myself in 2024. Can i ask you, how many liters your backpack was? I am asking this because the only food resuply option wil at day 6 of the planned 21 days i think i will need to complete the 350 km’s.

Hi thanks! Very happy you liked it, my Pack was 75 liters, but I saw quite a few people doing it with smaller packs. But the difference is that I mostly stayed in my tent, while those with smaller packs stay in the huts. You should look Into the DNT hut, they are located around the mountains and you can buy food in them. It's a little more expensive than carrying it yourself, so I also went for the town to resupply one time:) just text me if you have any other questions, hope you have a wonderful trip🤗

Hello, very nice video. How did u get to the starting point? I am not from Norway, so i need to take a plane to Oslo. And I have no idea how i will get there and how i will get back to Oslo. Thank u.

Hi there KOKTAVEJ, thanks! Glad You liked it:-) I'm from Denmark so I also had to take a plane to oslo, then a trail to lillehammer, then a bus to Dønfoss, and then I walked the 27 km up to the starting point of the trail. It took about two days:) its also possible to call Sota Sæter and then can come and pick you up at dønfoss, i think i read somewhere. On the way home its a lot easier, there is a bus straight from Haukeliseter to Oslo. Wish you a great trip🙌🙌

Hi! Awesome video, thanks for sharing !! I've been looking for guide books and maps all over the internet but cang seem to find any. Which ones did you use and is it easy to find your way around (I'm scared of getting lost....)

Hi Antje, thanks, glad You liked it:-) it was also a little bit of a struggle to find information on the trip for me, many websites is only available in norwiegan, so mabye try translating some of them:) otherwise i would recomend DNT website which is available in english:)

Overall the trail is very well marked, the main issue finding the marks is if the are covered by snow, so I would recommend going in the summer:-)

Fabulous. Do you see many people on the trail? Does it feel remote? I see it crosses roads or ends at huts with public access often. Am I correct? It looks great, I did Kilpisjärvi to Abisko last year, I'm considering this or doing the Natl parks like Joutenheim in greater depth

@@bkpktrekker4086 I'd say it feels quite remote, at least in the early season when I went. I would much recommend it, its a great trip😁

@@bkpktrekker4086 you're right there are huts along the way, some of which I was all alone in, others were more popular. Often times I didn't meet anyone for a day or two👍

Nice…. I want to do it next Year, Maybe like you say I start from the south… is the gps connection in Jotunheimen okay ? How many days you did on the whole trail ?

Hello my friend, I didn't actually use a GPS, looking back it was a very bad idea, but fortunately I made it. So I'm not sure about the gps connection, but my downloaded maps seemed to work fine on my phone. I was 28 days on the trail, due to bad weather an beginning before the season, but also because I had planned to be in Norway for a month anyway:) best of luck hope you have a great trip🙌🙌😁

I went from the 24th of June to the 24th of July, a bit early, i would recomend going a little later on the season:)
