My vacation begins in less than two weeks, and I'm gonna have so many horror movie marathons! Love Summer of 84, that is such a hidden gem and I'm so very happy I came across it. It captures the spirit of being a kid on summer vacation so perfectly, and paired with the sense of dread and threat, it's just perfection. This was a great list, thank you!

I love "Eight Legged Freaks". It is such an underrated horror comedy/homage to the creature features of the 50s. I was so psyched to see this when it came out in theaters. I went to see the late showing of it and there were only three other people in the theater and they left like 30 minutes into the movie. Never understood why this didn't get more love. Great list! Glad I found your channel!

So many great recs! I love how your videos are no nonsense and get to the point. I would recommend The Doom Generation. A queer nihilistic '90s road trip through Hell (aka LA!) The closest thing to a full on horror movie that Gregg Araki has ever made. The ending has stuck with me since the '90s! It's like Summertime in LA where the sun is too bright, everyone is lonely and bizarre horrors are around every corner.

Wes Craven Presents: They or simply "They" (2002) is very scary and, spoiler alert, has a very sad but interesting ending. "Tusk" was interesting, although predictable... And more recently, there's a serial killer movie called, "Alone". I think my favorite horror movies OAT are "Rosemary's Baby", "The Wicker Man" (1973)---Midsommar probably used this premise, "The Shuttered Room" (1967), and "American Gothic" (1988).

Hey Mandy, you ever check out the 81' Wilderness Slasher called Just Before Dawn? I swear, Constance may well be the ultimate ever forgotten Final Girl! I'm always very curious to get a Female Horror Fan's perspective on Just Before Dawn. Better than Friday, probably on par with Part II as far as early 80s Camp Slasher fare. Same vibes as Friday and The Burning, only I'd call it more satisfying a story, and it is actually scary, even chilling at parts. Just Before Dawn! 😄👍🪓 ...and then I'd remove Children of the Corn 🌽😆
