Actually her hair was short because of a different reason. So in that time having longer hair meant having respect from other like most of the other hyuuga members like neji hanabi and her father. It amazes me how the Naruto fandom STILL doesn't understand how the nature affinities work. Hinata can USE Fire and Lightning jutsu, but neither nature has been confirmed to be her nature affinity, which people can only have one affinity. In fact, her affinity is still unknown, much like a majority of the cast. Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi are pretty much the only ones with confirmed affinities, with Naruto being Wind and the latter two being Lightning.

You can have more than 1 affinity - thats Kekkei Genkai/Touta👍 Thats how 5thMizukage have 2 Kekkei Genkai but only 3 elements used.

Yes but they have bloodline limit so they are special cases. Anyways, anyone can learn any of the five elements but "affinity" means you are more talented/attuned to a single element (the exception being kekkai genkai users - which have several affinities)

This is super normal as clans tend to share an element among them, like Uchiha + fire affinity. But its still their "affinity" - an affinity for an element that exists thru combination - an affinity for both those primary elements simultaneously. Its literally just the genetic side of Chakra in the series - not absolute but still has dominant vs submissive traits.

Totally. Hinata however according to the manga and data books has the stronger Byakugan. To your point though I definitely would agree Neji was the prodigy and "superior" Hyuga in terms of skill, drive, and genius... while alive. Hinata however always had the superior Byakugan and post Neji's death is cited as stronger than Hanabi even out of practice. 🤷🏿‍♀️ She's the person given the gift with no real passion for it. Now this is definitely inference but given Toneri stole Hanabi's eyes I think we can assume Hanabi's Byakugan was superior to Hinata? (But then it is weird the branch Otsutsuki clan and Hamura dub Hinata the Byakugan princess so 🤷🏿‍♀️).
