jp was never married to Keiron. He never wanted to marry him he just wanted to show him that he appreciated that he gave up being a priest to be with JP. That whole storyline was screwed up as far as I am concerned. Kieron was gay. He knew he was gay when he became a priest. He had a crush on JP and decided to leave the church. At no point was that JP's fault. Keiron could have moved on and kept being a priest. Whe Craig came back jp tried to resist but true love never dies. True love

It's realistic that JP isn't ready to move on yet. Craig is the love of his life. They were together for four years. They have a kid together! Whereas JP has only known Doug a few days. It makes sense that JP is hesitant about starting something new. At least JP is honest with Doug about still having feelings for Craig and gives him hope that they can be together 'one day'. I loved JP with Craig and I think JP and Doug are quite sweet together. It is possible to like both pairings.

JP/Craig was my first gay love storyline (when I was 16 years old) and JP/Craig was angsty, intense, emotional and hot. Today, John Paul isn't the same, it's like watching a different character. Honestly, I don't care of JP/Doug, they are so meh together...

Actually, the person Craig was lying to was himself. Plus, he didn't "ruin" JP's relationship with Kieron - John Paul had a choice and made it. Craig was willing to leave without John Paul, actually went to the depot alone. Remember the line after McDean had slept together one more time, and JP got Kieron's text: he told Craig "don't be daft. It's you. It's ALWAYS been you.". I wouldn't be surprised if a connection with Doug is in JP's future, but the writers are handling this right I think.

I completely agree with you on that. Craig was such a jerk. It was hardly justifiable. I know he was going through a lot of emotion turmoil, but you're right, that's not what you do to the people you love. I liked father Kieron and Spike when they were going out with JP. They were good peeps, and hot too! I hope Doug and JP find someone special soon. They deserve it.

So, Doug and JP aren't gonna happen - yet. Never say never, though. Well written episode, puts the JP-Craig relationship into perspective and shows that John Paul really did love him, and still does. Heartbreaks like that don't go away quickly. Only time will tell where this goes.

After watching the whole Craig and JP storyline when it first aired I never thought i'd ever support JP with someone else, but I love Doug, Stendan will always be just alright in my book and i'm much more looking forward o seeing if these two will get together more than I ever did for Brendan and Ste.

I agree. JP didn't stop loving him when Craig put him through that crap with Sarah. Craig chose him over Sarah, even though he was still with her. JP couldn't be with Spike properly cuz he loved Craig. He loved Craig while with Kieron, and took him back just after Kieron died. They were together since then. How could you just stop loving someone after all that? If JP and Doug get together, I won't be surprised. But I really do hope Craig comes back. You're right, Craig needs to be with his son.

I never liked Craig, he would always lie to JP and use him whenever he likes making him feel like crap constantly. Craig even said once that JP was nothing but a dirty little secret of his. Just because he decided he was finally "out" a year later doesn't make him a good person; he didn't even hesitate to ruin JP's relationship with Kieron. That's not what you do to people you love. So JP, please get over him already; you and Doug are really nice people and you deserve to be happy together.

He lied to JP by making false promises for months. He agreed to break up with his gf if JP broke up with Spike and he didn't keep his promise. He would kiss & be all lovey-dovey with his gf in front of him, eventually proposing to her! I don't think he would've come out hadn't he been forcefully outed. JP told Craig he was finally over him yet Craig kept messing with JP's head until his feelings got the better of him. I think Craig was selfish and made JP a pushover and I didn't like that.

JP and Doug look cute together, but I'll always love JP and Craig. Let's be honest, they're meant to be. After everything they've been through, they still love each other, as admitted by JP. Just because they want different things, it shouldn't matter. I seriously hope Craig realises what a mistake he's made and takes a stand. He and JP are supposed to be together. JP never stopped loving him through all the crap, and neither has Craig. And that little boy needs both of his daddies.
