I didn't get the part with the USB charger. and I don't see it anywhere. Can you explain please?

I think that was said in error, and the wiring and video do not reflect what he said. The PID switched the low voltage side of the SSR and when on, the SSR high voltage side switches the heating element. Powering the low voltage side of the SSR with a power supply would always have it (and thus the heating element) always on.

wondering how you balanced PID Temperature ( temperature you want it to smoke at ) and the temperature you need to make sure the woodchips start smoking
