Thanks for sharing that, we hiked those trails in the 70's! They looked different then and you met very few people. We always brought a thick frozen steak wrapped in foil, it was perfectly thawed for the first night and a feast! Also an unsliced loaf of French bread that we toasted in the mornings with our coffee, hot chocolate for the kids, and a pckg of peanut butter cookies to have with tea in the evening. It was worth the bit of extra weight. The rest of the meals were freeze dried, a new product but not many varieties. Everything tasted great on the trail!

@@sahvtft Haha thank you...trying to get there! Any nope, no bears. I've backpacked through this region several times over the years and have only seen deer!
