clicked on this because the buildings in the thumbnail bear a striking resemblence to reoccuring nightmares ive had of small, abandoned homes in the middle of big fields. i always had a terror down to my core that told me these houses were haunted. cursed. falling apart but somehow completely empty inside. my therapist tells me that houses in dreams often represent ourselves, so i look at this video and wonder how i might be the same. then that unsettled unknowing became a sort of distant comfort to see environments that reminded me of my family vacations to northern minnesota. the rushing waters, great trees, and decor that was a bit of a culture shift as a man whos only known oklahoma. in this part of the video i could see fonder memories of mine filtered through that same dreamlike recollection ive had of farmhouses on the great plains in my nightmares. in a strange way, i could really feel these tapes. each scene familiar to me in a fundamental way, even though i doubt they were recorded anywhere near where my feet have fallen. it helped me feel acknowledged, somehow, for how the places ive held significant to me continue to echo throughout my consciousness. thank you for that hope my little message means something good for you, too :) beautiful work!

I've been having them too. Often with spirits from different times. Some are derelict, and some have old furniture. Some have basements that open up into huge and vast mines, or caves, and it's always around sunset. I don't feel fear though. I usually feel neutral, or comfortable. It's like the houses are alive somehow, and I can always feel their awareness.

I am only at 8:20 yet, but stopped to write down this comment. The image quality, the attention to details, even tiniest things like dust particle effects and flying insects - everything is top notch, hyper realistic. Camera movement makes you believe it's ACTUALLY filmed. Going up and down the stairs? It FEELS as if you were really doing this! This is the best quality backrooms video I have seen so far, even Kane Pixels cannot compare to this level of realism. You, sir, are awesome. Mind sharing some details on your process? I am just wondering what it takes to make environments that pronounced.
@toriningen99272 ай бұрын
only so subtle things suggest that this video was rendered, not filmed - like, at 15:37 you can see the grass in lower-right hand side of the frame is organized in perfect rows, unlike the real grass. But damn, I am really questioning my ability to differentiate filmed videos from rendered.
@toriningen99272 ай бұрын
another tiny observation - 27:42, the candle flame in open space cannot stay undisturbed, especially when someone walks nearby. It's perfectly still in the video. I admire the quality of every frame.

wait this isnt real camera footage? genuinely how the fuck
@calumariАй бұрын
i love kane as much as the next guy but the creator confirmed the series isnt cg😞
@toriningen9927Ай бұрын
@@calumari so all the demon sightings in the windows is now real as well? :) I understand that admitting this is CGI will hurt the mysteriousness of the channel, but unless someone invents perfectly still uncovered candle flames and the grass that grows in pixel-perfect rows - that's extremely, insanely high quality CGI. Also to anyone who will say "grass can grow in such pattern" - no it can't. Even if we talk about fields, take a look at the harvested field. It doesn't have wide gaps, it's really dense, and despite having marks from havesters, it's still random. This grass is perfectly uniform. Seeds are implanted into some depth under the ground, and seeds are directional - they don't sprout directly upwards, instead they sprout two directions at once and the frontal one will counter the gravity to grow upwards. This will introduce a large degree of variability, even if you plant the seeds perfectly. And in real life no one will ever bother to align the seeds. So no, sorry, this is not real life. But the quality is beyond admirable, this is so far the best CGI I have seen in my life, and I have seen a lot. The mere fact you have to nit pick those tiny details already show how good they are.

I'll admit I haven't seen all of the videos in this series yet, and I know I'll be heavily relying on Nightmind for the story, but this video has given me such strong nostalgia for my childhood in rural central Albeta it's honestly kind of insane. My great-grandparents owned a farm that our extended family uses as a gathering site for holidays and such, and some of the more furnished houses felt exactly like how it felt to arrive late at night a few days before everyone else. There were a lot of old abandoned buildings in the area that belonged to our family and my grandma and great-aunt would take us to explore them (and clean up trash/move possible hazards/strip sellable metals) and I fucking HATED IT. I was so scared every time we'd walk out in the woods to cousin so-and-so's abandoned house or barn or trailer, I hated that sense of unease that just seems to come with those spaces. I'm loving this project so far.

You & me were separated at birth.. & we both have impeccable taste..only you were kept & inherited the family fortune & dwell inside the family homestead.. & I was given up & live a life of lesser "things" although, not lacking in quality.. I just lack the financial means to live the quality life you do. You reside in Canada.. & I live in the states. I wonder if we will ever meet?.. if not, just know I admire your appreciation for times gone by & preserving the beautiful things of the past.. it's what make memories last. I feel like those many buildings look.. all worn & seen better days but, not lacking in depth & chatacter. How amazing it must be to return home to the crackling fire surrounded by beautiful pieces of artwork adoring the walls trimmed with ornate woodwork as a kettle of water heat on the gas stove in the kitchen for a late fireside tea or, coffee & then enjoy swapping stories of our reincarnation.. I think we must have existed in a time during the Victorian era.. it's why we long for yesteryear.. where we come from large families & not the only child home I was raised in. Oh well, Hhmm, dare to dream. At 1st I thought this was just another boring filming student attempt to be edgy(?).. & then once I entered the home at the end.. I knew.. I had to subscribe! It certainly fueled my imagination & psychic trigger.
