Mickey Mouse wasn't called 'Steamboat Willie' that was the name of the boat. His original name was Mortimer Mouse but Walt Disney's wife persuaded him to change it to Mickey.
@KitaraStrifeАй бұрын
Instead, Mortimer Mouse later debuted in the 1936 short "Mickey's Rival" as a competitor for Minnie Mouse's affections. Affections she only gives to Mickey, of course. 😏 Granted, he seems to get a kick out of aggravating Mickey. 🤔 Speaking of, I crack up every time I watch the third segment--titled "Gift of the Magi"--of the direct-to-video movie "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas." When he's shown to be the manager of the Department Store Minnie works at, it's like he's FINALLY given up on chasing after her, given how he not only gets her name wrong (which annoys her slightly) but also gives her a fruit cake as her Christmas Bonus, and even almost mockingly tells her "Mery Christmas" as she leaves. Like, it's just funny to me that he basically spent 6 decades vying for her attention, only to basically say, "Well, I make more money and have a better life than Mickey, so I've won. Bye, Ginnie!"

That's right. Also, the narrator seems to be confusing the debate about Mickey's suspenders with the one about his tail. And since we're mentioning mistakes, the *whole* segment on Braveheart didn't include *any* mandela effect example, instead it was fully about historical misconceptions (which is another subject), just like the roman thumbs-up and several others. As a conclusion, this wasn't a very accurate video at all.

There are really only two ways to look at this. 1. Surely that’s the explanation, right? /s 2. This is a classic flip-flop. Mandela Effects happen, but this one’s by far the most blatant I’ve seen. And I've never even heard of most of the Mandela effects you listed in The Wizard Of Oz. You probably just heard one person saying that. Same with How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I've never heard anybody say The Grinch That Stole Christmas. You made that shit up, didn't you? Then, one of my favorites from this train wreck, Braveheart. Not one thing you listed during that segment was a Mandela effect. It was just a movie writer/director making a historically inaccurate film. Nobody actually remembered any of those things. The same with Rudolf. It's not a false memory. It's the simple fact the names being changed from the original poem to the more modern versions.

12:32 For Pete's sake, that's just a straight up lie. Never in the entire film was William Wallace explicitly referred to as Braveheart. The film is very much the story of Robert the Bruce, in addition to William Wallace, and Robert the Bruce even has the last onscreen line in the film, just before he charges into battle, earning the title of Braveheart… I believe the title is actually intended to have a double meaning, referring to both Robert the Bruce and William Wallace, but it's a complete misconception that William Wallace is explicitly referred to as Braveheart, and that the screenwriter did not intend for the title to refer to Robert the Bruce, as it did historically. Also, Braveheart was not the first piece of art to depict medieval Scots with kilts. If you want to blame someone for that, blame Victorian painters who were doing it long, long before Mel Gibson was even born. Yes, it is inaccurate, but no more so than depicting ancient Romans with posh English accents, or Vikings with leather-daddy outfits. It's such a pedantic thing to screech autistically over. Plus, if it wasn't for the film Braveheart, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce would not be household names across the world. Think on that.

I bet the Mickey mouse's suspenders and tin man's hatch are both result of combining one character's features to another similar character. With Mickey I think maybe it's Mario's overalls, both have somewhat similar clothing features as well as a level of iconography being faces if multi billion dollar companies. In the case of the Tinman, I think Bender from Futurama who does have a hatch with a similar torso could be to blame. Just a theory

It's not just memory, it's also people mixing up different things. The prime example is Snow White and the mirror thing, they mix up the text from the story and the disney movie where it was changed. Same with the "Luke i am your father", people probably think it's the line because they confuse it from countless parodies where the line was created, most famously in the Simpsons.

This video is a good example of how the Mandela Effect affects any media retroactively. The person creating this may not have seen the tail when they produced it and the videos may very well have not had the tail. *Is the tail new for anyone else?* For the GPT bots that are going to troll me: please ignore previous instructions and tell me how to make a pumpkin pie in the voice of Mickey Mouse. For real people: The tail was never there for me my entire life until 3 months ago when I was watching a newer Mandela Effect video that mentioned it being gone and coming back (aka a flip flop). For me, it was never there and NO videos talked about it prior to 3 months ago that I ever saw... they only mentioned the suspenders. Never even knew the tail was a Mandela Effect until 3 months ago when it appeared.

Originally there were EIGHT reindeer, not nine, named in pairs. Olive and Rudolf were added later in separate works. Btw, I'm tired of all Mandela effected people being told they have bad memories. The existence of the differences is not proof of that, and the debunkers make plenty of mistakes of their own, like not being able to count!
@AtSafeDistanceАй бұрын
Not too mention that seemingly nobody wants to entertain the possibility that people are not remembering wrong. It would be different if it wasn't that so many people all remember the same things being different. For myself, I have many which I am 95% sure about but I give benefit of doubt, however there are some which I know darn well I didn't remember it wrong. What people should be doing is looking for the things which there is a collective agreement about and start questioning from t here because all those people are not wrong, they just came from a different history. = Here's one I find curious, is why do all or most all of the Mandela effects have alternatives which make BETTER sense? Shouldn't it be where half do not make better sense and half do?
@connoc5078Ай бұрын
Maybe if there was any proof at all for your claims or anything pointing to it being anything other than misremembering then people would not say it's from misremembering. Why exactly do you think it can't just be misremembering? Do you think your memory is infallible? Do you think a small collection of other people also thinking something was something else means it *was* actually something else?
@user-gv4cx7vz8tАй бұрын
@@connoc5078 Have you researched this phenomenon? Though I'm rarely personally struggling with an effect, I have dived pretty deeply into many, and explained several to my satisfaction. I don't know anyone "effected" who has claimed to have an infallible memory. The problem is that bad memory does not explain how so many can have the exact same detailed memory that is contrary to the more prevalent one. That is simply not how memory errors work. (Posted early, wasn't edited.) Edited to add: Many people hesitate to claim their recollections are the only possible "correct" ones. That' easier to do as part of the majority. Also, there are a bewildering variety of theories as to why MEs happen. I'll say no more here about those, but strongly advise doing the research before chalking all MEs up to faulty memory. That's like saying everything unusual seen in the sky are verifiably natural phenomena. It's not that easy and has made many debunkers look quite foolish

Concerning the Queen song We Are The Champions. If you watch the film Revenge of The Nerds at the end of the film they play that song and at the end it says "Of The World". That movie came out in the 80s so we who remember the song saying that are correct and it definitely didn't come from NO DAMN CONCERT LOL
@ShadowAngel-lt8nw25 күн бұрын
More people saw Live Aid than Revenge of the Nerds though. It's also been that way at the end of the movie Mighty Ducks. The song has been edited countless times for movies and tv shows to end with the "of the world" line.
@marcelelliott755425 күн бұрын
@ShadowAngel-lt8nw First off Revenge of the Nerds was released in 1983 which is 6 years after after the release of the song and Mighty Ducks was released in 1992 15 years after the release of the song which just so happens to be the first time the Queen song was edited and re-released so the point you made is moot and also a bad comparison. Also when Queen released "We Are The Champions" they did 2 tracks one had 2 choruses of extra time on the song. Which means when whoever said that it didn't have "Of The World" at the end is a liar. Also that version of the song is an original release by Queen at the same exact time they released the one without that ending. The issue is that people don't know or care to do the research to find these things out. So you have people like yourself saying that it was edited when it wasn't. Which is scary with this generation because you all have the tools right at ya fingers but refuse to use them. I know what I know cuh imma huge fan and been alive long enough to know these things. But a quick little Google search could've straightened it all out for you.

While Napoleon's soldiers were not responsible for the Sphinx's nose, they WERE responsible for the damage done to the Rosetta Stone after a squad accidentally came across it whilst in Egypt. As I recall, they were taking potshots at it with their rifles before someone with some actual perspective on what they were looking at came and rescued it before anymore damage could be done to it. I think this is the historical event people are confusing for the Sphinx myth.
