why do you set up defensive orders in the soviet union?

It’s complicated: I didn’t want my troops to automatically move around using a fallback line, so there’s a neat little trick where you can set up a front line order for your field marshal, and then have the armies under the field Marshall have an unfulfilled garrison order (ex. have your army garrison a state it physically cannot get to because you don’t have military access, I chose Soviet Union in this run). This way, the troops will not move around automatically, and it makes it so much better to handle the battles. Also, it gives a planning bonus, so that my attacks are better. Finally, I used it in my Albania video, since you can control+alt+right click to easily and constantly take out divisions in a port to kill lots of units and men of the enemy. (Sorry the explanation was long, you can go check out bittersteel’s albania video)
