Full build and focus order below!
30 minutes of hel, but it's actually 30 minutes of heaven
delete all units
Research basic medium tank at the start so we can get enough of those to put in divisions to hold out after we do the warsaw uprising
Research the next aa tech
Research the production efficiency boost using 100% bonus
Research maintenence companies 1
Get Army chief
Get tank research speed advisor
Get industrial concern advisor
Get artillery advisor
Do improved worker conditions
After germany declares war:
Do total mobilization
Get extensive conscription
Go to free trade
Join allies
Send fleet and all planes to britain
Once we hit 60% capitulation, we can start doing a focus , prepare for the inevitable
Lendlease everything to britain once close to 100% capitulation, maybe around 95%. Then capitulate and take everything back by modifying the lendlease
After capitulating:
Instantly get the resistance artist or activist for 700 extra manpower weekly
Don't worry about the impending left and right threats, they can't do anything while we are capped except 50/50 chance a leader is assassinated and we lose stab and war support
Focus order:
prepare for the inevitable
Resistance Industries
Exile Industries
Foreign Air Support
Foreign Army Support
Expand Polish Intelligence
W imieniu Polski Podziemne
Central Defence of Poland
Foreign Naval Support
Aces in Exile
The Castle
the long push home
Warsaw uprising happens
After this, i recommend improving katowice resources and extra research slot, other than that, whatever you want
Research:
When basic medium tank finishes, research improved medium chassis
When maintenence companies 1 finishes, Research maintenence companies 2
Also will need armored trains
After first focus finishes, this will create our agency. Then we can hire the illusive gentleman.
Get intel on the warsaw region.
After getting 3 agency upgrades, we can become spymaster for the allies.
After we have 5 factories, we should upgrade our agency repeatedly.
Make sure to get the upgrade to improve the Strengthen resistance mission
We need either one or two Strengthen resistance missions conpleted in warsaw before we can prepare the warsaw uprising.
Make sure to prepare the uprising but don't let it commence right away.
Produce aa, support equipment (for engineers), and artillery until maintenance company 2 and improved medium tank chassis Research finishes up
Put 3 mills on producing a medium tank with improved medium chassis, improved automatic cannon, 3 extra ammunition, and 1 easy maintenence module. Plus 4 levels of additional armor
3 mills on infantry equipment, 1 on artillery, 1 on support equipment, 1 on aa.
Train 10 infantry with support aa, engineers, support artillery, and a medium tank added to the existing 18 width of infantry.
Don't give these a deployment zone
Wait about a month after barbarossa is launched, then launch your prepared warsaw uprising. If germany controls all of Poland, we get more free units
Once warsaw uprising happens, we can give our 10 troops a deployment zone and we need to pull our uprising troops into a defensive circle
In the south we we hold the river line at Krakow and kielce. In the east, hold the river near Warsaw. In the north, hold the river south of Plock
In the west, we will quickly take katowice and the german city just west of katowice for its steel. Then hold along the river to meet with the northern border
We should switch to limited exports and do the focus to expand katowice resources.
Now we easily hold and can push out if we desire or simply get the achievement
To bait the germans to attack, simply put all the free resistance troops on training, but leave the space marine defenders with entrenchment. Then watch and laugh as the Germans destroy themselves on the space marine wall
Optional:
Beg for any lendlease possible and continuously dump out units to keep getting more. Beg for convoys too. Improve relations with anyone willing to donate to the Polish cause
Getting "the long push home" focus will help them hold better

The AI goes reluctant because it's been wired to try being cautious for simple traps where you pull back over a seemingly large area to entice them in then smack in on a choke point to encircle large amounts of units. Interestingly it doesn't actually care for your projected unit count to make this choice, so they're going carefully expecting some shenanigans even though their intel will say you have no units whatsoever.

Surprisingly there's an even easier way to do this where you civil war yourself without an actual civil war and then join the Axis until you backstab them with capitulated Russian holdings, but that one might not work anymore

The Soveits in my attempt were really weak. If I delayed the uprising too much, Germany ate them alive. If I launched it too early, Germany was too strong to push myself. Had to bunker down and grind them.

That focus you did't want to pronounce "w imieniu Polski podziemnej" which translates to "in the name of Polish underground state". Those words were spoken by Polish underground fighters while carrying out the sentences for traitors. Just to justify them and and stand out from nazists who didn't care about the court, or judgement, just killed. So for example when underground state of Poland found out about a traitor, or colaborant they send some guys to do the dirty work but just before that they were saying: "w imieniu Polski podziemniej, skazuję cię na śmierć" which translate to " in the name of underground state of Poland i sentence you to penalty of death". If someone want to correct me, or add something from themselves feel free to write below! Great video tho, keep up the great work!

I succeeded in a similar challenge by surviving as belgium. It is surprisingly easy making a small defensive pocket with 1 port, waiting until american tanks land and then overruning the germans.

i loved your guide, very reliable, in my game i got the worst outcome possible. China capituled before 1940, the allies failed in the africa front and urss is surviving in terminal state and i got the achiev in 7 oct 1942 and holding very easy.

You know there is a reason why in real life tank divisons are often 2/3 tank 1/3 infantry, while mechanized divisions are 1/3 tank 2/3 infantry. Combined arms warfare is what works. Its not a cheezy game mechanic that mixing infantry and tanks gets you strong forces, its should be considered a bug that a tank divion and infantry division on the same tile dont give such results.

@@Ryukuro Another game thing that doesnt happen is that when this division takes soft attack damage its not the mechanized infantry dying leaving behind unsupported tanks, instead it seems tankers get out of their tanks and take on infantry roles as if they where trained for them. Also then the division that should have lost all its infantry gets reenforced that brings down the xp of the whole divion when in reality should you have veteran tankers with green infantry that would IRL result in lack of combined arms and total failiur unless you send the divion back to the rear and have them excercise for a month to get the new infantry to learn how to fight side by side with tanks. Real life is much more complex than any game I guess. A clear demonstration of gamyness is that when your troops are starving on Iwo Džima you can still build forts because in game output on civilian factories can be used on any tile you control, where as IRL the general controling the island out right told the ships supplying the japanese forced that they need less food and water and more construction matrial shipped to them, causing men to fall ill from exhaustian malnurishment so that they could turn the iland in to a fortress. IRL what you ship when american submerines are throtling your supply is a hard choice, in game fort construction material just teleports.

You truly put your heart into this, there's no other explanation. So far I've tried defending around the Katowice-Krakow area for its geographical advantage with lots of hills and rivers but got overwhelmed in time, without reaching even 1m enemy casualties. Your strategy is far more secure and playable since I not only defended my territory but also had the chance to initiate a counter-offensive after I got my army ready and equipped properly. Much appreciations from Turkey. Waiting for your Hardly Anything Sèvres guide (well, if you don't have one yet)

@@hatless_spider So, I fired off the uprising in 1942 at first, but the Soviets had been pushed back too much. I then reloaded and launched it in November of 1941. I wasn't able to push and encircle the germans. But I was able to hold on to dear life by garrisoning in a circle around Wasaw and having Katowitz for the steel. Eventually the Germans/Axis tired themselves out and I was able to grind them to 1.8m casualties in a final push. Definetly less tedious than the "typical" method, but I wasn't able to get it as cleanly as you did.

No, I wanted it as cheap as possible since we do still have some things we need to produce besides just tanks as poland. If we add heavy mgs that would get us 8 more soft attack, but add 2 more IC to the cost. I guess this extra cost would be reduced by 25% though, so maybe it's worth a try!

1. It is influenced by what Germany owns. So that is why I wanted them to reconquer all of poland if possible, so that my uprising can be bigger since soviets control eastern poland from molotov ribbentrop. 2. The allies actually can't get in due to denmark being held by germany, and thus the strait there is closed

Since I don't even have HOI 4, but still quite a bit interested in history I don't understand, why players defending Poland don't want to extend the defensive perimeter along the Bug river and Carpathians, only stick to Vistula and Warta. It would allow for more manpower and factories (from so called Centralny Okręg Przemysłowy, which on this map would span across provinces of Lublin, Kielce and Kraków) to be in control of Poland.

@@hatless_spider yeah. You had to start the civil war on the exact hour as the Dec from Germany came in to join or else they would say no. Then you prepare for war with the Soviets take as much as you could in the peace deal. It worked so well I had to keep Germany alive to get to the causalities needed lol.

@@hatless_spider sure, but sometimes premise is hard to swallow, some times its the delivery. here was the premise. but i glad i survived through it, because rest was nice :) my issue here was that did the gamey-est thing possible which was so impossible in reality, like myself pulling myself upward on a rope using one leg. but rest was fine like i said. better prepared resistance, better planned "Hour W" (the Uprising), successfull entrenchment in polish core provinces, while germany had no forces to spare and crack it. it looked way better than most polish vids showing how Poland can resist inside 3 provinces since 1939. :)

It's an old HOI4 term for it at this point. But yeah, it's an actual real life strategy too. France employed it although in their case it proved ineffective against the massed tanks of germany

@@hatless_spider In the US case, they had so many tanks they decided "F*** it!" and gave tanks to many infantry units like opera winfrey screaming "You get a car, and you get a car!" The US tank spam was so big, the germans didn't have enough ammo to take them all out.

Part of the reason people fail at this is because they abandon most of the country to the Germans. What your suposed to do is fall back behind the riverline and protect the Polish interior. Build bunkers to help dig in, release Ukraine and Belorus to keep the Soviets from coming at you.

That's not in the rules for the achievement! But that is the initial spirit of the achievement, I would agree. Nothing is stopping anyone from still doing it the Feedback or Bitt3rSteel/CreamyLou ways though!
