Fun Fact: Danny Thomas was one of the original investors in the Miami Dolphins during their inaugural season in 1966. On an appearance on The Tonight Show, Thomas, when asked by host Johnny Carson, said that his greatest thrill was watching Joe Auer return the opening kickoff in the Dolphins' first-ever game for a touchdown. Thomas, who was on the sidelines, ran alongside Auer as he scored.

Funny thing about Danny Thomas: he was a close friend of my grandparents through his producer Lou Feldman (my dad’s godfather). They used to go to his house quite a bit for dinner parties and such. I didn’t know he was responsible for St Jude’s though. That was a surprise.

9:21 You know what? I'm not so confident that this will be surpassed. This trip has its own quirks and its own charm that probably can't and won't be replicated. Someone else's project may include more stadium tours, it may have more cameras, it may raise more money, but that will be a different trip. This trip will ALWAYS be yours and ours. Not just until someone else comes along, but ALWAYS.

You remind me of the guy who decided to drive across America on a bet in the early 1900s. Two other companies soon tried the same afterwards, with all the stops, versus a guy and the mechanic. What will make 30-in-30 special is you did it first, and have decided to do it without some support, and even to your own detriment, since you mentioned you put off buying a house to do all of this yesterday. That's what will make this amazing and so special to watch.

Thank you so much for interviewing me, Tom. Meeting you was absolutely incredible. Thank you for coming to Nashville. We can't wait to have you back! I'm so happy you got to experience the true heart of this amazing city. The Titans being the first team that got back to you is just incredible. You staying with us at the fan meetup for nearly 2 and a half hours, just chatting. You're amazing. I'd love to give you a tour of this beautiful place I so proudly call home whenever you return. Until then, stay awesome :)))

How can it NOT? All the thing he’s doing: accomplishing something because of your hard work that you BELIEVE IN. When that something is truly for the good of others, there’s really no better feeling. Travel changes people. You never return from a trip as the same person that left the comfort and certainty of home behind. Meeting new people, hearing their stories, their perspectives, human connection in general; changes people. For Tom personally, this no doubt validates his choice to bet on himself, quit his job, and focus on YT. Sharing a piece of yourself with the world is a profound experience. Tom is having “life-changing experience overload.” I’m just in awe watching.

Nowadays it’s so easy to get caught up in all the negative going on in this world and all the garbage posted on social media on a near daily basis. This series really drives the point home that there really are a lot of genuinely good people out there and people really do rally behind great causes like this. Tom, this whole 30 in 30 project is incredible and the way you have literally gone city-to-city every day, slept in hotels, traveled long distances, and are so loyal to the fans in each city you’ve visited is truly inspiring. Keep on going, you got this brother 💪. Thank you again 🙏

Amazing how visiting St. Jude really makes you realize what you're doing this for. It's not longer just saying "it's for charity", it's experiencing exactly where all that money is going toward and the people it will help. You're right that some other bigger production will probably copy this down the line, but it will never take away what made this so special.

Hi Tom! You might not see this but I’ve been a huge fan of yours for a while. I’ve had that same idea for a while about 30 in 30. I think what makes it special is because it is authentic, it’s not a high production thing. This is also very physically tough so I don’t know if many KZbinrs would ever do it but that’s why this series rocks. You do it for the love of the game and that is more important than a billion dollars (Good luck for the rest of your journey)

I love what RBT said where the amazing thing about football is becoming friends with someone over just a couple hours when a game is going. I have made a number of friends at super bowl parties etc. but it wasn't until I went to my first game. I am a Rams fan and took a job for a year in Seattle and last minute decided to go to the Rams @ Seattle in 2018 when the Rams were 9-1 and it was not only an amazing game that they won in the 4th quarter but while it was the city I lived in, I was in enemy territory wearing a Goff Jersey. The Seahawks fans I met waiting for the light rail and on the ride to the stop for the stadium were very kind, cool people, and then the person next to me at the game when I got to my seat, is when I met my friend Lucas, Lucas was from Brazil, had only been in the U.S for a few months, and wanted to just get out and do something random that weekend, He was rooting for the Seahawks, and wearing a Wilson jersey, and over the course of the game we got to know each other, even buying each other a beer at last call at the end of a 3rd Quarter, we connected on Facebook before leaving, and still keep in touch to this day.

Watching Tom tour the St. Jude facility in Memphis, Tennessee and give an in-depth description of the inner workings of the charity, it makes me ponder how the real St. Jude, also called Thaddeus, one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus, views the hard virtuous efforts of all individuals working within the organization past, present, and future. I pray that their combined efforts do go noticed. The Tennessee Titans reached out to Tom first? Neat; didn't forsee that happening. The stadium tour was/is bittersweet knowing that the replacement stadium project is planned for construction and completion by 2026. The filmed journey is 1/2 finished; you're halfway up the mountain Tom, and I have confidence you will reach the summit in LA. 30 in 30 #15 was the most emotional one I've watched. Keep chugging along. 🚂
