30% of My Portfolio Is Invested in Just 5 Stocks - Here’s Exactly What They Are

I typically don’t have a ton of concentration in my portfolio, but due to recent market moves, more than 30% of my capital is invested in just five stocks. Some are common slow-and-steady portfolio backbone stocks, while others might surprise you. Here’s a rundown of what all five are.

Thanks for sharing your top five. Mine are NVDA, TTD, ANET, AXON, MELI. They represent 20% of my portfolio. Own all of your top five except GM. Not a car guy.

Thanks for the inspiration Matt! Love to see a compounding machine such as BRK mixed with a solid dividend REIT such as Realty Income and growth via MELI. Latinamerica is a huge growth opportunity. Good diversity and compliments each other. I am not too Familiar with PINT, but the GM pick really mind boggles me. No free cash flows for 10 years, Highly indebted, Low margins, Low ROIC, flat net income over the last 10 years, recently slashed dividends and horrible management. I am wondering what I am missing on the upside? If I had to pick an American company that had some involvement in the car industry that wasn't Tesla I would rather go with Ford. Similar valuation, but much better fundamentals and a better CEO. I think the winners in the EV space will be Tesla, Ford and Rivian out of the American automakers. I don't see GM doing anything significantly within this space. I would personally never invest in car companies as they all basically carry the same characteristics as outlined above. I am only indirectly invested in the car industry via Tesla. It is to CAPEX heavy.

I am mixed on BRKB fund. It is 2 sigma over trend line and bouncing down below this peal level propped up by AAPL. With 150 of 500 stocks clearly leading the way in S&P500, I sold. It is relying solely on AAPL rally. I am sure it will be a 380 bargain.

Not sure about GM……the market historically gives auto manufacturers those low multiples due to low margins, high debt and especially economic risk. I’d be taking 100% of that money and putting it into Mercado Libre which is just an absolute monster of a company. Twice as much cash on hand as debt, 1.4 PEG ratio, trading at only 16 times cash flow, less than 5 times forward sales with 33% FCF margins and 100 dollars of free cash flow per share with a debt to free cash flow ratio of 1. For a company growing its revenues over 30% annually. Insane to find that kind of top line growth and free cash flow not priced in.

I'm giving GM a couple years to find their EV legs. But I have a few other stocks I'm considering rolling into MELI. Completely agree with that part!

I have two of these, $MELI and $PINS ... I WISH my $PINS cost basis was $15 instead of about $68 ... it's easily beaten the market the last two years but that may be because it was so low. That said, I'm still holding as a) I don't have a lot of my portfolio in it and b) my thesis for buying is still the same -- potential to monetize a non-divisive, e-commerce-oriented social network.
